Story
Meet Knox! Knox came to us from another shelter so he could get a new set of eyes on him. He loves to play with other dogs! Once he's comfortable with someone he is a big lover. He takes longer to warm up to men than women and would do best in a home with older or no children. Knox is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Knox please fill out an application at al-van.org/adopt. *Some pet-finding websites aside from our own are very slow to update after an animal is adopted, and this is outside of our control. Story
Hello everyone my name is Roscoe and I am about 9 years old. I was adopted from Al-Van 5 years ago, and unfortunately had to come back due to no fault of my own. I am now looking for a new family to call my own! I would do well in a home with kids that are 10 and up. I know my basic commands, need a little more work with the leash thing...... I also found out that I am great at climbing fences so a high fenced in back yard would work best. I love to cuddle, play with toys, go for walks and rides in the car. I would also be the kind of guy that would love to have a Netflix and chill kind of night. I would prefer to be the only pet in the home. If you are willing to give me a shot and become a part of your family please stop in and meet me. You can also fill out an application online at www.al-van.org!

Story
Meet Tippie! Tippie came to us from another shelter and she is ready to tug on your heart strings! How can you say no to those big brown eyes that just beg for you to take her home?! This sweet girl was found as an injured lost dog. A kind human brought to receive medical attention, but no owner came forward to take her home. Her foot injury led to her walking on her "tippie" toes when she first came into the shelter in March 2024 which is how she got her name! Not only is Tippie totally adorable, but she has a beautiful personality! She's calm, sweet, and snuggly. These traits have quickly made her a volunteer favorite Of course, she loves spending time outside whether that's on walks with volunteers or enjoying a snuggle in the sunshine. She is open to meeting new friends and family dogs. Tippie is estimated to be around 3 years old and is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. If you'd like to meet this sweet, gorgeous girl, go to al-van.org/adopt to fill out an application. *Some pet-finding websites aside from our own are very slow to update after an animal is adopted, and this is outside of our control. Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a wonderful boy that is about 4 years old and roughly 60lbs. He was surrendered to us when the family dynamic changed in his home and they could no longer have him. He has bounced around a few homes in his life and is looking for a consistent permanent home to love on him. He did live successfully in the home with another dog, but can be reactive with new dogs. He could possibly live in a home with another dog with a proper introduction. He tends to chase cats, but not hurt them so that is up to the potential adopter on whether or not they think he would be a good fit if there are already cats in the home. He would do best in a home with older children or adults that will give him space while he's eating. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Buddy please fill out an application at al-van.org. *Some pet-finding websites aside from our own are very slow to update after an animal is adopted, and this is outside of our control. Story
Meet Snoopy! This handsome boy came to us from animal control. He is just the sweetest guy, and wants to be friends with everyone! He loves his people so much that he does suffer from separation anxiety. His ideal family would be home most of the time, or be able to take him with them when they have to leave the house. He is great with his sit cues, and loves treats; he is eager to please. He's always ready with a smile to warm your heart, and he's open to meeting kids and family pups! Snoopy is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.
