Story
Princess is a our special little tripod girl (meaning she only has 3 legs).  She lost her leg in a past trauma-she was hit by a car.  She has pelvic trauma, which has healed, but unfortunately has left her incontinent, meaning she has no control of her bladder or bowel movements.  But this doesn't hinder her from being the most happy and friendly little girl!  She's really good about wearing a diaper, and we will send home some diapers with the adoption.  She loves people, including little kids.   An approved adoption application is required. The $200.00 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm testing; martingale collar & leash set; and a kennel muzzle. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.

Story
Cleo is looking for her fur-ever home.  Cleo was returned to us after being in a home for 7 years.  Her family surrendered her due to her jumping on their toddler and she got into a tussle with their other dog they introduced into the home.  We think Cleo would prefer to be the only animal in a home.  Cleo loves every human she meets, and she is kid friendly, just needs training in regards to jumping.  Cleo is such a great girl and just wants to go back into a home, whether it be a foster home or a fur-ever home.   An approved adoption application is required. The $185.00 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm testing; martingale collar & leash set; and a kennel muzzle. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Story
Hi!  My name is Stella, and I am a spayed female pitbull, and I weigh about 65 pounds and am about 6.5 years old.  My friends at Headin’ Home say I am a bright and energetic friend.  I love to play with other dogs, especially when I take trips to the dog park.   I get along with most humans, but can be pretty shy around men!  I am a very trustworthy companion and while I enjoy taking long walks, I also appreciate a good lazy day.   I am currently in a foster home where I have four dog friends I live with.  Stella has completed a basic obedience training course and has learned basic commands.    An approved adoption application is required. The $185 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Story
Meet Ferb! This handsome boy is 3.5 years old! He came to us from an overfull shelter in Tennessee.  Ferb would do best in a home with kids over 10 years old and no cats as we feel he didn't have a good start to life and isn't used to being around other animals.  As of right now, Ferb would do best in a home without other pets, but we are currently working on socializing him with other dogs.   Applicants must have prior Rottweiler (or similar breed) experience. An approved adoption application is required. The $225.00 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Story
Our sweet Emma is looking for her fur-ever home. She came to the rescue as a plea from a shelter as she was hit by a car and had a broken pelvis. Their concern was that she had some bladder problems because of the injury. Our veterinarian performed an intravenous pyelogram to demonstrate her kidneys and bladder were okay! Emma may have limping down the road due to her pelvis, which healed on its own and did not need surgical repair. Emma is wonderful with all people, including children. She is still a puppy, about 1 year old we believe, and needs some training as she likes to jump up to greet you and give you kisses! She does well with dogs off leash. She loves to play and is very energetic so she would need another dog who understands that or fits her energy. We have not cat tested her yet. We describe Emma as a "pocket pittie"-she is only about 35-40lbs.   An approved adoption application is required. The $225.00 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm testing; martingale collar & leash set; and a kennel muzzle.
