Story
Cleo has been with our family for 7 years. She has been a loving, fun and wonderful dog. However she is a lot to manage. I put she isn’t good with kids, but really it is she just doesn’t understand her body. She jumps up, no matter how hard we tried when she is happy to see someone. This has caused us to separate Cleo from the rest of the family and is very sad as she just wants to be with people. She loves the sun and hates the cold. She has energy but most of the time is very lazy and loves to snuggle. She lacks manners and will pull on walks. We just had a vet appointment today as she is up to date on vaccines. Please don’t hesitate to ask any additional questions.

Story
Please read his whole profile to learn about his special adoption requirements. Tonto came to us after his owner's dementia meant that she could no longer care for him. Tyson's Place Animal Rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets, Tonto is a friendly 9 year old guy, quick will a tail wag and happy to see his people. He is housebroken, though like many older dogs, he can't "hold" it as long as a younger dog and needs potty breaks throughout the day. He walks great on a leash and loves snoozing on the bed with you at night. He is a vocal guy and has a full range of grumbles and noises as part of his talking. His favorite activity is finding a comfy spot to take a cat nap. Speaking of cats, he also has successfully lived with cats and shows little interest in their activities. Though he has never lived with other dogs, he has had limited interactions without issues. Tonto, like many Westies, has skin/food allergies. When Tonto came into our rescue, his allergy issues were out of control - ears so infected they were filled with pus, a scabby, raw and red body that itched him terribly Despite being in what must be a considerable level of pain, he is always a happy-go-lucky guy. We are getting Tonto back on a prescription food and an allergy prescription, along with medicated baths, and think within a month he should be back on track to living a comfortable life and be ready for adoption. We are only considering applicants who are ready and able to take care of a dog that will have lifelong allergy issues. What does this mean? He will require a prescription food lifelong, a daily allergy prescription lifelong, and weekly medicated baths and ear cleanings by his adopter. He will also require more vet visits than a normal dog in order to treat and maintain his allergies. With proper maintenance, Tonto should be able to live a normal and pain-free life with he can be happy and healthy and thrive. He had complete blood work that indicates he is healthy. Interested? Story
Bo was adopted from a local shelter about 4 months ago. When I adopted him I was renting a home where I could have a dog. For the last 2 months I have not had a place for Bo to live where they accept dogs. I want to see him in a stable home. He is a good dog. Needs someone who will use positive reinforcement with him. He loves to play outside but he is an inside dog. Does not chew furniture.

Bullmastiff

Male, Adult
Georgetown Township, MI
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
We found both Honey and her pal Bear together in a parking lot clearly malnourished about 2 weeks ago. They are both very sweet and love cuddles and we would love to keep them but our apartment wont allow us to anymore and the apartment life really isnt for them. Honey is we think a boxer mix, ~60 pounds, light brown and has gained 15 pounds since being with us. She is a super sweet goof ball. Bear we think is a bull mastiff possibly mixed with something else, ~ 120 pounds and gained about 20 pounds since being with us. He is a big lover.

Paco is a seven year old Chihuahua whippet mix. I got him from the humane society two years ago. He is the most loving, cuddly and happy dog. But he has separation anxiety. He needs someone who can be home with him a majority of the time or take him with them.
