Story
I got Duchess when she was a puppy. She is a sweet dog. When it comes to dogs she is hit or miss and would probably be better as an only dog. With children she would be better with an older child. One that understands the proper way to treat an animal. Not hitting or grabbing etc... After she gets used to cats she is fine with them. We have 2 atm. With new adults introduce them slow. Don’t have someone new just show up, that wouldn’t be good because she’s protective of her house. The only reason we are looking to rehome is my job is making me move frequently and the past 1 1/2 years has been hard on my family. We’re selling our country home and gonna move into an apartment and move around with my job. She’s not welcome in these places. She’s loved very much

Story
Gemma came in as a stray in December 2019 weighing 77 pounds. Unfortunately she was heartworm positive which since we have treated and found her a foster to adopt home. At the time of her spay she weighed 90 pounds.Fast forward to February 21, 2020....... Gemma was returned to us weighing 113 pounds. Yes, she's a big girl and she need an owner with Mastiff experience. Gemma really likes rope toys and Nylabones, but she LOVES cuddling even more. When she plays, she'll be goofy for just a short energy burst of chasing her toys, but then she'll always settle right down for belly rubs and snuggle time-and she's quite happy to stay like that for a very long time. Gemma does know sit already and she appears to be potty trained with regular opportunities to be outside, BUT we always encourage new owners to pretend the new pup is not until everyone is used to the new routine. Gemma will need to be the only pet in the home and with older children.
