IDGSR WELCOMES NINA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!! PLEASE NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is online, he is still available and it is not necessary to email to inquire. Nina is an approximately 2-year-old German Shepherd mix female. She was on the euthanasia list at a shelter euthanizing for space. That's how sweet Nina came into the rescue. We've spent some time getting to know her over the last few weeks. In almost every single picture taken of this girl, she is either smiling or appears to be singing. Nina is a happy go lucky girl that is just content to be alive and loved. She has done well with our junior volunteers. Nina has also tested well with medium and large dogs in playgroups. She would be best in a home without little dogs though. Sweet Nina is looking for her own forever people to love. If you are interested in adopting Nina, please apply by CLICKING ON THE ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. PLEASE READ. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE VOLUME OF EMAILS WE RECEIVE, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A RESPONSE. AN APPLICATION IS THE FIRST STEP TO ADOPTION AND WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY. IDGSR WELCOMES SHAKIRA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!! Shakira is a pretty GS mix who is approx. 2 yr. old .We believe that Shakira is a Panda Shepherd. These are German Shepherds with a somewhat rare genetic anomaly that creates that 'mask' and the white that is on the dog. While we cannot prove it, everything else about her screams this, her body and head structure, her markings and how she acts. She is a German Shepherd in every sense of the word,. It is a gene that affects the colors and there are all sorts of colors of German Shepherds. She is young and obnoxious but super sweet and full of herself. Her family will need to be dedicated to helping her be a successful young lady who has self control and poise and manners. She is good with other large male dogs and loves to play with them. Shakira is not good with cats, little dogs or small children. She is good in the car and would be happy to ride anywhere with you. Shakira is a wonderful girl who is looking for a family of her own to love.
