Story
We adopted Boots in 2010 from a rescue shelter on the east side of Cleveland. She was rescued from an overcrowded pound. She got mange while at the pound and barley had any hair when we got her. We were able to treat the mange and she has had a beautiful coat ever since! Boots loves to go on walks, swimming in the lake and loves to be around people. We are looking for a home that would give Boots all the attention she needs. Unfortunately, now we have two kids under two and she is not getting the attention she once did.

Story
Diane(aka Dede) is a approx. 2 year old girl who came to us from a rural shelter. She was born there and never was adopted b/c she had very little human interaction and socialization. She has now gone into our foster care program and is learning to assimilate in a household. This is a slow very methodical process. Diane is learning to trust her handlers and behave like a normal dog with her canine foster sister/brother. Diane must go to a home with people who have dog ownership experience, with another confident dog, to a home with a secure fenced yard and to a home with people who commit to continuing her training with her foster parents and our trainers. A home without young children is required. A home with only older teenagers is highly preferred. ** Update** recently Dee Dee began to spend time at Camp Bow Wow playing with other dogs. She did GREAT, she’d love a home with another dog to continue to show her the ropes. Adoption fee 150.00

Story
Fido is looking for someone special to open their home to our special needs kid Astair. This boy is 5 years old but has a neurological disorder either from past trauma or a genetic condition. He can see, is happy mobile and in good shape. But he high steps and has some depth perception issues. He is in a foster home and is not high energy. He is learning to navigate stairs in the foster home and working on house training. He has a good quality of life at this time but we don’t know what the future will bring. Fido will pay for any maintenance care needed while in a foster or a forever home. Please consider being Astairs special someone.

Story
Clover came to FIDO from an overcrowded shelter and has been given full vet care. She is 55 lbs of wiggle and love and approx 2 years old. She is now in a foster home. 3/28: From Clover's foster mom: Clover is curious and playful but also content to nap on her dog bed and nap. She likes to be where you are but not underfoot; just close so she can see you and get a pet! Our home is an empty next and quiet but our neighborhood is busy with families kids and dogs on the street. She does not beg for food and is crate trained. She does have free roam of the house during the day while we work from home. She will jump on furniture if you allow her too to look out the windows. She is pretty good at letting you know when she needs out for a potty break. A fenced yard and a home with no younger children is needed for Clover b/c she likes to chase critters and b/c of her size and strength. She is learning leash manners as she is very strong and will pull if allowed. She would do best with an active family as she needs daily physical activity. She will make a great companion with her loving spirit. Adoption fee 125.00

Story
Okie is approximately 1-2 years old but still acts like a puppy. So far he loves everyone he meets. He came to us with an injury to his hip that was surgically repaired. He has now recovered and just loves to romp around with other playful dogs. Cats are unknown but can be tested. He can be mouthy and jumpy in play so would not recommend children under 14. He loves affection and food as a reward for doing well. He is doing great so far with his crate training in the short time he has been in foster. He is getting professionally obedience trained and would love a home with a fenced yard and another doggie friend. Adoption fee 150.00

Story
Woodford is a young boy (approx. 2 years old) that’s very playful and full of energy. He is house trained and crate trained. He was never socialized early in his life so he is quite shy at first and gets easily startled with noises and sudden movements therefore we will not place him in a home with young children. Once he gets to know you, he’s very affectionate and loves to be close to you and be petted and get belly rubs. He is very active and loves to run so he would love a fenced yard. He loves to play with toys also. He comes out of his shell with other dogs around, so a home with at least one other confident doggie friend is required for him. Adoption fee 150.00
