Story

Rowan is a well-loved Boxer/American Bulldog mix who was adopted as a puppy from the Cleveland APL. Rowan is now 11 years old and in great health. She has been a loving member of our family her whole life. Rowan unfortunately in her old age is not getting along with her brother, a lab mix with whom she has lived with her entire life. We are looking for a home for Rowan that is quiet and has no other dogs. She would also benefit from being in a home environment where someone can let her out throughout the day. She loves to play catch and is still a bit active. She is wonderful on a leash and is well trained. She will sit, come and stay. She is accustomed to an electric fence in the yard. She loves to be with people but likes her space to nap. We would love for the person who adopts her to keep in contact with us about her in the future as we will miss her terribly but need to provide her with the space she needs as she gracefully ages.

Story

Aruba came from Aruba. She was born in May 2019 and is a Cunucu. We flew her home while we were on vacation, she got along great with our 2 dogs and everything was perfect. except she is so aggressive. she has never bitten but she does snap, growl, and just doesn’t like people. We can’t do it anymore, we have tried trainers, communication skills, and we’re at our last straw. We want Aruba to go to a very loving home, one that will give her unconditional love because that’s what she got here. Aruba is friendly with other dogs, and cats. She has never been around children, but i would assume she wouldn’t like them. If you have any questions please contact me immediately!

Silly Dilly is a sweet boy with a few quirks, looking for a family to love him! Dilly is incredibly affectionate and sweet; he will always make sure your feet are nice and warm and will be there to snuggle up with you. He does well with most dogs, although he would probably chase cats... but he sure loves his kiddos! Dilly has undergone a training course with Rogers K9's. He would really love a family that is home a lot, another dog to play with, and perhaps a kiddo or two! If you would like to meet Dilly, please fill out an adoption application at www.rhar.org. Story

Meet Norman! Norman is a big, strong guy, full fledged coonhound around 50 pounds and is estimated to be about 3-4 years old. Norman needs the help- he was adopted to a family in the city and he is not adjusting well. He's a country guy at heart, he prefers the open spaces to a living room couch. Since coming to the city Norman has done his best to adapt but he's not happy and is struggling with depression and high anxiety which has caused him to act out at times. Norman can truly be a great dog in the right environment- he seeks reassurance, patience and lots of loving pets and most of all a very relaxed place without a lot of people coming and going. He's devoted, a great companion, loves long walks and the outdoors. He also loves to nap! Norm is FULLY vetted-- Rabies vaccinated and had his heart worm checked- all good! He is current on meds for fleas, ticks, and heart worm. He brings with him toys, his collar and leash, and dog bowl.

Banjo was adopted from a local shelter almost 2 years ago when he was about 3 months old. He has been raised well and has always demonstrated good general manners regarding house training, no food aggression, jumpy/kids, all of that. He is still a very young dog and can get hyper at times but of course plenty of excessive always solves this.
