Story
Dasie is a gift to anyone that comes across her; she’s friendly, happy, cuddly, loves to play and is great with other dogs. I am sure you can see on the photos; she beams with joy and gratitude. (Doesn't she have the most beautiful, warm and expressive eyes?) If she could speak she’d probably say that the one thing she’s most grateful for is her rescue mom Bilkes, who saved her from being abused by some kids in the streets. Since then, Dasie is afraid to wear a collar thus is being walked with a secure harness Due to the bad experience with kids, we’d like to find her a home with older and calm children. Dasie is spayed, approximately 1.5 years old and vaccinated She weighs around 40 lbs. we suspect she’s a cross between a shepherd and a small lab.

Story
One of the most special things about dogs like Vingie is that when shown compassion, patience and clear direction, with time, they become the most loyal, trusting and loving dogs you can ever have. By ‘dogs like Vingie’ I mean dogs that have suffered from unimaginable cruelty and abuse inflicted by humans. And yet these dogs are still capable of learning to put it all behind them and start trusting and loving beyond measure. His foster dad describes him as a very sweet and affectionate boy, who loves spending time at home in his company although he is starting to feel safe and actually enjoy the outdoors. He says that “...He’s very calm in the house and walks well on the leash. No pulling. It’s taken him a bit of time but he does like the other dogs and is starting to play with them. He’s good on car rides.“ His Egyptian rescuer describes him as a prince. She said “...he is a prince in how he acts ..charlie (his brother) would go out and get back all dirty ..but Vingie would come back clean. He loves to stay next to you and just to be around you.” Vingie together with his other siblings was born in a factory grounds in Egypt where one of the factory workers was keeping an eye on the mom and the babies by feeding the mom and ensuring she consumes enough nutrients to feed the babies. One morning, however the mom and all but two puppies were found dead; the puppies that were alive were in a bad shape with scrapes and open wounds. The security cameras showed the security guards brutally killing the mom and the puppies, and using the other two like footballs. I am looking for a calm, gentle and patient family; one that would give enough time and patience as well as clear guidance and praise when appropriate to continue helping Vingie love life. He sure is a special dog and without a doubt the lucky family that will end up adopting him, many, many years from now will be saying that Vingie was the best dog they had ever had. Vingie is fostered by Furry Family Animal Rescue in Toronto He is neutered, UTD and approx. 50 lbs. He is 3 years old.

Story
Toasta and Fino are such good boys; they love people, are very cuddly, super smart and love to learn, are friendly with cats and other dogs and overall are well rounded youngsters. Just like, I am sure, their mother was. Tragically being a street dog in Egypt, and considered a pest an a nuisance, when saw walking around pregnant, she was beaten so bad by someone that she died shortly after giving birth to her pups. When the rescuer called a vet to come and help her, she was refused because she was ‘just a Baladi’. Toasta and Fino were the only two puppies that survived this horrific crime. When I hear one story after another like this one, I imagine that Angels truly do cry when they witness such cruelty, injustice and horror inflicted by the humans onto what we ourselves call them man’s best friend’. I sure do. How can this be and why? One could consider, however, the boys ‘winning a lottery’ as they were rescued off the street and are now given a chance at amazing lives in Canada We are looking for two individual families (or one that will want to live and adopt both). The boys are around 1.5 year old, neutered and healthy. They are up to date in vaccinations They are each around 45 lbs of love, joy and affection. Their adoption fee is $495 each. If the right family(ies) are found they will fly to Toronto and Furry Family Animal Rescue at the end of January.

Story
Name: Juno Breed: Husky/mix Gender: Male (neutered) Age: 2 years (DOB 22nd Dec 2017) Cats: No Dogs: Yes - larger, no small dogs Kids: No Juno is a 2 year old Husky mix, possibly shepherd. He's very nice and friendly, but also very hyper and untrained. He's friendly with other dogs, he's probably too much for small animals and kids. Definitely no cats or offleash. Juno would be best suited to a home that can give him one-to-one training and where he can spend time outside. He would actually prefer to live outside than in the house and a dog run with dog house would be ideal for him. He is food motivated and eager to please. He needs to learn how to be a dog with proper training and manners. He knows some basic commands and will sit nicely for treats. He is learning not to jump up or be mouthy which he tends to do when he is excited and wants to play. He loves his crate and travels well in the car. Juno has shown some resource guarding for food when he was in the shelter. He's never showed any kind of aggression with people (other than resource guarding) or other dogs. He's very friendly and loves to play. He isn't too bad on leash and he really enjoys going for long walks. Juno is not suitable for a home with small dogs, small animals or young kids. He would love a home with lots of outdoor time and would make a great hiking partner. Juno is very strong and will need an experienced and firm owner. Juno is neutered, up to date on vaccines and parasite preventatives. He is a very healthy boy with lots of energy. • Located in Tottenham, ON – $400 adoption fee • In foster, needs adopter • Looking for a home since August 2019 To fill out a foster/adoption application, please visit SHARP – Siberian Husky Assistance & Rescue Program’s website at https://sharprescue.ca/
