Story
My dog’s name is Lola and she is 8 years old in March. She is part Border collie, part mutt, and acts like a herder. She is ~70 lb, black white and brown, with “rot spots” above her eyes. She responds to come, sit, stay, leave it, on your bed, out. She is kennel trained, chipped, and has all her shots. She is not destructive, although she likes chewing up paper and cardboard. She is border conscious, and never tries to escape or dig. She likes to play tug-of-war and Frisbee. She limps on her hind legs with too much exercise. Vet said it’s likely torn CCLs. We decided against surgery and instead to back off on the exercise. Since then she does not limp. She very much enjoys going on walks. She is ok on a leash, but will pull. She is a dominant dog, and is ok with other dogs once she gets to know them, once they know she’s the boss. She is not a good dog park dog. She is ok with cats only if the cat is dominant. She does not like chaos and thus does not like small kids.

Story
Bella is almost 2 years old. She was born May 5th, 2018. She is extremely high energy and can play for hours and hours. She needs a home where someone can run and play with her and give her a lot of attention. She knows how to sit, lay down, shake your hand, fetch a ball to toy and go into her crate on demand. She is extremely loyal, energetic, and loving. She is also quite protective and will bark if a stranger approaches the house. She loves to fetch a ball and run. She is wary of strangers and sometimes other dogs. She is very “alpha female”.

Story
Our family adopted Kiba a few months before we had a baby. Kiba is terrified of the new baby and we feel he would be so much happier in an environment with no small children. Kiba is 4 years old. He loves going on runs and walks but dog parks make him nervous.

Vinny

Golden Retriever Labradoodle

Male, 7 yrs 10 mos
Portland, OR
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Vinny is a 18ish month old golden mixed puppy. We do not know his parents or what he may be mixed with or if he has any golden or labradoodle at all - we just guess based on looks. As such, he is NOT hypoallergenic, nor nonshedding - he is a mutt, and a very sweet one at that! He is around 60lbs right now. He is great with other dogs and loves to play. He is submissive and shy in new situations. He will not be introduced to cats. He is fostered in Houston TX no matter what it says anywhere else - any inquiries about location will be ignored. You cannot meet prior to adopting since he will not be transported until adopted. His fee is $850 - email your completed application to houstonstreetdogs@gmail.com for consideration. His new adopter should be willing to pottytrain him and leash train him.
