Story
Shiloh is a happy-go-lucky 2-3 year old Rhodesian mix. He was rescued from a shelter in Oklahoma. He lived with a family that had another dog, Chloe, for a bit over a year. Unfortunately his adoptive family became unable to care for him and Chloe, and both dogs experienced neglect. He was fortunate to have a family step up to take him and Chloe in until they could be permanently rehoused. Shiloh loves dogs, kids, cats and truly everything. He loves to exercise, sun bathe and hang out with his people. He will cuddle and love you as much as you will let him! Shiloh would like to stay with his buddy Chloe, mostly because Chloe does best with her best friend nearby.

Story
Meet Shiloh and Chloe who have been living together for the past two years. They were both rescued from unsafe situations when unfortunately their adoptive parents became unable to take care of them, and both dogs experienced neglect. Thankfully a home took them in temporarily until they are able to be rehoused. Chloe is a wonderful dog that will do well in a home without other dogs (other than Shiloh) and with good training. She can get used to other dogs but has difficulty not guarding her food. She has been around children and appears to get along with them fine. She loves to cuddle, play and talk to you with adorable noises. Shiloh is a well-behaved happy dog! He loves other dogs, loves kids, enjoys going for walks and being by your side. He is a pretty chill dog after some good exercise and loves sun bathing. The dogs would like to stay together in a home that has room to help them grow in a loving and trusting environment.

Story
NO OTHER PETS OR SMALL CHILDRENHello there! My name is Tootsie. I came here as a stray. I had been running for awhile. When I was finally found, I was so scared and alone. And I was skin and bones. Some nice people rescued me and brought me to here. I was given a warm bed and a nice big bowl of food. While I was a little more comfortable, I was still very scared. I didn't know anyone. There were so many strange sounds and smells. I was especially scared of men. The staff has been very patient with me. They've been giving me plenty of food to make sure I gain weight. And they've given me time to get adjusted. Now I look like a whole new dog! I'm getting much more comfortable with men. And I'm super friendly with people once I get to know you. I'll be in your lap giving kisses, or rolling over for a belly rub. I'm not sure how I feel about other dogs, though. I probably didn't get out much before. So I don't know what to do when I see one. But if you don't have any other pets and are looking for a cuddly lap dog, I'm your girl! So, what do you say? Apply for me and let's get to know each other!Tootsie is a female Boxer mix, approximately 4-5 years old, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, SNAP 4Dx tested, -x3/Lyme+, and will be spayed and microchipped before she goes home. If you can't imagine your life without Tootsie in it, please fill out an application in person, or on our website at lawrencecountyhumane.com. Tootsie is really looking forward to meeting you.If you cannot adopt, and would like to help sponsor this pet, please click the donate button on our website or Facebook page, or via PayPal at PayPal.me/lchumane
