Poor Jerry and his friend Tom were abandoned by their owner in Arecibo, PR. Neighbors noticed them wandering around, covered in fleas, and decided to help them. Tom and Jerry are now being fostered and have been to the vet, and soon they will be neutered. Their foster mom is willing to arrange travel if anyone from the mainland US is interested in giving these beautiful and sweet boys a home. Loki was found with his siblings at a common dumping ground in Puerto Rico. They were very scared, but eventually they were able to be lured with food, and now they are in a loving foster home. Sadly, a day after being rescued, Loki's health rapidly deteriorated and he was diagnosed with a contagious, life-threatening bacterial infection. He had to be hospitalized, quarantined, and given large doses of antibiotics. However, he is doing GREAT. His bloodwork is looking very good and he has a big appetite. Her ribs were showing but her belly was huge: she was pregnant. Two days after her rescuer took her in, she gave birth to 13 puppies! Tasha's rescuer already has several dogs of her own, so this has been a big undertaking. Tasha has been an amazing mother to her babies, but they are starting to wean, so they and their mom are now looking for homes! Tasha has put on some weight, and she is healthy and will be spayed soon. She is full of energy and loves to play! Her foster mom says she is a very good dog who gets along well with other dogs. Lady was found by her rescuer outside of a panadería in Añasco, trying to stay dry from the pouring rain. The bakery workers said that she had been hanging around for several weeks. Lady's rescuer took her home, and Lady enjoyed a nice warm bath and some grooming, which included pulling 30+ ticks off of her body. We believe Lady had a family at one point because she is well-trained: potty-trained, knows how to sit and give a paw, comes when called, and stays close by her foster mom. Attempts have been made to find her family, but no one has claimed her. Lady is a great dog! She is a little shy, but she is sweet, gentle, and gets along with everyone, including cats, other dogs, and children. And she LOVES belly rubs!
