Story
Adoption Fee: $100 Fostered in Texas Age: 11 years Weight: 4 lbs. 8/7/19 - Timmy is a tough little one! He doesn't let anything get him down. He loves so much to be held and loves to cuddle. He is on thyroid meds and Melatonin. He gets around really well since having the fusion of his shoulder. 6/20/18 - Timmy had his shoulder surgery two weeks ago and is doing very well! He was seen by the surgeon and also the physical therapist yesterday and he is doing even better than expected at this point! He is definitely a little trooper! He sends lots of kisses to everyone who donated to make his surgery possible! 4/2/18 - Timmy has a stubborn skin infection. Once we get that cleared up, he will be scheduled for surgery. 3/1/18 - Little Timmy can't seem to catch a break. He started having difficulty walking with his front feet crossing and his right shoulder popping in and out; and he was falling down frequently. He was seen by our orthopedic surgeon today in Houston and he said that Timmy needs surgery on his right shoulder. He is scheduled for an arthrodesis (fusion) of his right shoulder on March 16. His other shoulder is a bit loose, but he is hopeful that with the one being repaired there will be less of a demand on it and he may hopefully not need surgery on that other shoulder. 11/16/17 - Timmy went to the vet for an exam and an xray was done and he was found to have gall stones. Photo of the xray is in his pictures. He was referred to the specialist and he went today. An ultrasound showed that he has stones in his gall bladder, liver and bile ducts. We will be doing blood work every couple of months to keep a close eye on him. He is healthy now,and blood work looks great. He may never have issues with the stones; but must be watched closely for signs of obstruction. We don't know how long he has had them...and they may never be a problem for him. He had gone to the vet for something totally unrelated. 12/16/16 - Timmy has been on various diets to prevent bladder stones. With the surgery he had recently it is hopeful he will never have to have surgery again. He must be seen by a vet every three months to have his urine checked and be evaluated for stones. 12/24/13 - In spite of being on a special diet, Timmy has developed another large bladder stone. Poor baby was in pain and went to the vet this morning. Because it is not considered an emergency, he is home on pain meds and being watched. Unless he becomes obstructed, surgery will not be done until after Christmas. Donations and prayers appreciated! 5/28/13 - Timmy was kept in a cage outside and received little to no food and water and no medical treatment at all. He was brought to animal control by his lovely owners (thank goodness) and Yorkie Haven was called to see if they had room for this 3.5 lb. baby. He had his dental and lost 17 teeth and at that time, they found out he had a large bladder stone but had to wait for surgery because he was so emaciated upon arrival. He has now put on some weight and should be good to go for removal of his bladder stone tomorrow. Timmy is a sweet little guy who loves his people and is doing fine with the other pups in his foster home. He and his foster mom will be looking for a home for Tiny Tim that understands these little ones and someone who is ready to give him all the love, attention and comfort that he did not get in his previous home. He's moving up in the world and is not looking back. If you can help with his vetting costs, it will be so appreciated.

Story
Hi everyone, My name is Gravy, I am 3 months old Sheppard/Pitty Mix. My foster mom thinks I will be about 40 to 60 lbs when I grow up. I am an explorer and I love learning about all the things around me. I enjoy playing with kids and other dogs. . I am learning to use potty pads, and is doing well when placed in a consistent spot. I am almost ready to be adopted by my forever family. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Since they are rescue dogs we guess breed of looks. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Story
Rocket was pulled from a over crowded shelter in February 2019. He had been there for 6 months and his time was up. Since being with us he has been learning to transition to a house pet. He is house trained and crate trained. Rocket is thought to be around 4 years old and neutered. He enjoys playing with toys and rolling in the grass. We've introduced him to our female bully and they play well. He's been on round a Chihuahua briefly and played with a female puppy really well. We have not introduced him to male dogs. Rocket has moderate energy and needs walks daily. He is a loveable guy and is very sweet.

Feeling cute...might delete later. Isn't that what all the "youngsters" are putting with their new profile pics these days?! I'm CLYDE...and yes, I'm a bit of an older fella. I like to call it mature. I'm finishing up my heartworm treatment right now to get nice and healthy! I already know basic commands, and I bet you could teach this old guy some new tricks if you do it with treats (I'm food motivated!) Stop by the shelter to meet me and learn more about me! I'd just love to meet you...especially if you bring snacks :)

Story
Zero has been with our family for almost 2 years. He is crate trained and potty trained. He has lived in a house with another dog and cats. He is extremely playful and definitely a power chewer! He definitely has the bull terrier genes. He’s stubborn and goofy. As zero has gotten older it has become apparent that he no longer can live in a house with cats. Zero is a sweet dog who needs a good home and someone to spoil him. He either NEEDS to be crated when you’re not home or have someone home all the time, he can be quite mischievous.
