Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Lee (leeselman@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Jazzy came into a city shelter and we were able to rescue him from there.-He is fostered with several large adult dogs and he keeps them busy--We estimate he was born around May 2018--right now he weighs about 50 pounds-he would be a great walking, hiking or camping buddy---he is a really great and social pup and will be a great addition to his lucky new family--- We do not know mom or dad--so breed mix is a guess---We think there is definitely cattle dog in the mix--we also feel there might be some hound--as his foster mom says he does like to 'talk' some as hound dogs can do--He is really fun and funny---Contact l socossaves@gmail.com and thanks for checking out all of the great dogs on Southern Comforts Animal Rescue ! ~~All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines; parvo, distemper, bordatella, rabies, and puppies have had a series of four vaccines.  All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative.  In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. All  dogs come with a micro-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 175.00-235.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog.  Our dogs are all fostered in private homes at various locations; We do not have a facility.  WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD FOSTER HOMES. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.  Contact leeselman@comcast for more info on fostering.   Please contact the person listed in the bio for more information on a particular dog. Story
My name is Rex. I am a 2 1/2 year old boxer mix. My family has had me since I was just a young pup. Unfortunately we have moved to TX recently and the only home they could find was an apartment. This has made them and myself very sad as I can not get the adequate exercise I need. I love to run and play with toys but in this tiny apartment it is hard for me to :(. My family does not want to re-home me they love me very much but they see how depressed I have become. My dad works a lot now so I don't see him very much any more either. I get along with cats and dogs. Although sometimes I can play a little rough with other dogs if I get to excited. I just need to be reminded to calm down a bit and then I'm fine though :). I love kids! They have so much energy and love to play with me to! I also enjoy a nice cuddle and will keep you warm and cozy on cold nights. I like to sleep with you but I also am crate trained and will sleep in my crate just fine too.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Lee (leeselman@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Phoebe. According to her vet paperwork, she’s a Retriever, Labrador Mix around 18 months-2 years old. She is 65 lbs of pure muscle, and doesn’t even realize how strong she is. She does not do well with other female dogs. However, she seems to be ok with male dogs and smaller dogs in general. She loves to cuddle, lay outside in the sun and patrol the yard. She can jump VERY high (I know this because she can jump up over the back if my couch which is about 4ft and easily clear it.) That being said, she does not jump over gates or fences lol. She eats really fast, and likes to snack on apples. She does not usually bark, only sometimes, to&#239&#191&#188 let us know she wants to come inside. She loves all people, and children. She has a tendency to jump, but is easily corrected. She walks nicely on a leash EXCEPT for if a child/family member is in front of her lol. My son was on his scooter ahead of us on one walk and she had to keep up with him. Thats really the only time she pulled. She is interested in other dogs on a walk, but is a great listener and does not pull toward another dog. I have no idea how she is with cats. She is very calm for being a young adult, eager to please, treat motivated. She already knows basic commands like sit, stay, and shake. She is truly a gentle giant.
