Story
I have had Sable since she was 7 weeks old. She has always been a huge lovable pup. She never goes anywhere without me and goes crazy for car rides. She loves going to dog parks and going on hikes. Her favorite toys are ropes and kongs with peanut butter in them. She has always been surrounded by other dogs and loves to play. I have an infant and she treats him like he’s her own. She is fully housebroken and crate trained. She loves cuddling on the couch and on the bed. She has anxiety and hates being left alone. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body, but she loves to play and wrestle around! She isn’t a huge barker either and is a huge people person. She loves being the center of attention! She just turned three on August 13th and loves getting puppy ice cream. She loves taking baths once you get her in the tub and has finally came around to getting her nails clipped. She knows a ton of commands and loves to sleep.

Story
Nyx is a 4 year old German Shepherd mix. Looking to rehome her because she exceeds the weight limit on my apartment lease's pet policy. Very kind, lovable, and gentle. Never seen her show any kind of aggression toward another animal or person. She does have one minor fault, she will run off if not on a leash or an enclosed area so would prefer if her adopter has a fenced in yard.

Story
Drago was adopted as puppy from PetSmart/Augusta Dog Adoptions. He was adopted 2yrs after our previous pet was hit by a car while we were on a family vacation. He is my oldest son’s dog and could not take to college and now will be graduating in May, and going on to Active Duty Military service. Drago is very energetic, active young male. Loves to play fetch. He needs a fenced in yard to play in as he is a runner. He is smart and very trainable just needs a family pack that will work with and reinforce his good behaviors. He is very lovable and likes to be in everybody’s business. He has had full run of the house, of course with bedroom doors closed etc. He has never torn up any furniture, gotten into trash etc. Has counter surfed a few times as he could smell food, mostly bread or bagels etc. He like to steal socks if you leave laying around. His overall health is good, he is a tad over weight as he doesn’t get enough exercise.

Story
Britain is an almost two year old Shepherd-Husky, that I adopted at 6 weeks old from a rescue in Mineral, Va, so I have been her only owner. Unfortunately, I will be moving in a few months, and will be unable to take her with me. She's very playful, and loves lots of attention. Britain is house-trained, loves treats, long walks, and as she's still in the last of her puppy stage, gets the 'zoomies' on a regular basis:). She can be good with other dogs, but not always, and would benefit from additional training, but when training, gets along with everyone! Britain's been treated like one of the family, sleeps in my bedroom through the night, and enjoys her toys, her dog bed, and running in the yard. Her new home will need a fenced yard, and an owner who can give her lots of attention. I have a walker who comes three times a week, as my yard isn't fenced, and that has made a world of difference, as she wants lots of exercise. Reach out with any questions or concerns!

Story
"Hello, are you looking for a sweet and soft pup to cuddle up in your lap every evening? My name is Mimosa and I'm a senior Dachshund mix (maybe with Pekingese?) I came to SVASC as a stray that was never reclaimed, but now I'm just hanging out with my foster mama. She's awesome and I really love staying with her! I am a senior dog and although my age is just a guess, I am definitely up there in years, so a nice, quiet home would be best for me. I am a super sweet dog and love getting snuggles. You can mostly find my cuddled up with my foster parents, snoozing away. I do get along with other dogs and appear to be house-trained. Please keep in mind that I am a senior dog. I am most likely going to be considered a hospice dog and so I may not be immediately available. Please contact SVASC with any questions. I'm currently with a foster, so I'm not at SVASC. If you would like more information on me or would like to learn how to meet me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142 or email Erin at ewiles.svasc@gmail.com"
