Vinny is a 18ish month old golden mixed puppy. We do not know his parents or what he may be mixed with or if he has any golden or labradoodle at all - we just guess based on looks. As such, he is NOT hypoallergenic, nor nonshedding - he is a mutt, and a very sweet one at that! He is around 60lbs right now. He is great with other dogs and loves to play. He is very active and playful. He will not be introduced to cats. He is fostered in Houston TX no matter what it says anywhere else - any inquiries about location will be ignored. You cannot meet prior to adopting since he will not be transported until adopted. His fee is $850 - email your completed application to houstonstreetdogs@gmail.com for consideration. Tanner is a drop dead gorgeous boy around 1 yr and 40lbs. We have no idea of his parents and are just guessing on breed. He is a solid, lowrider with amazing eyes. He is not hypoallergenic nor is he nonshedding. He is almost housetrained but adopters should be patient as he learns a new home and routine. He gets along well with people and dogs but he will not be exposed to cats. He is adorable and fun and a very sweet cuddler. His fee is $850. He is fully vetted. He is fostered in Houston TX no matter what it says anywhere else on this ad (please do not ask where he is located - the answer is Houston TX) and won't be transported until adopted so you cannot meet prior to adoption. MamaDog AKA Alice Lab mix 2 years old 45 pounds Meet Alice! Alice is a 2 year old lab mix that came to Illinois with her 6 puppies. Now that they have all found their forever homes, it is time for this wonderful mom to find hers! Alice loves to be around people. She can be a bit jumpy, so a family with older children would be a better fit for her. Alice’s favorite place to be is on someone’s lap. She would prefer a home where someone is home most of the day to give her attention and play with her. She is crate trained and house trained. She was terrified of being on a leash when she first came to live with her foster family, but she is doing well on her walks now. Alice gets along well with other dogs. She loves to play with her foster brothers and sister in the fenced in yard, but will quickly come back in for human attention. With a loving family to build her confidence, Alice will make a great addition to your family! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. Meet Red! Lab/hound mix 5 years old and 50lbs Red is a very sweet and loving girl! She’s working on her leash manners, but is treat motivated and with the right person she'll be a fantastic walking companion. She would do best with a fenced yard were she can run and sniff everything. She certainly has some hound in her! She'll keep your yard free of squirrels! Red is house trained and sleeps peacefully in a dog bed or on the couch all night. She loves to snuggle on the couch with her humans. Red needs slow intros to other dogs. Barney- Barney’s a 2 year old black lab mix! He’s a sweet and happy boy, loves to play with toys and cuddle! He is a high energy guy and would love a back yard and a buddy to run around with! He gets along with all people and other dogs too! Sadly, he is heartworm positive. He’ll need a foster home for 2-3 months while Safe Haven provides him treatment. Your family provides love (something they desperately needs!) and a safe place to lay their head until they find a forever home. We also require that you have the ability to take the pup to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, Geneva, South Elgin, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in Geneva, South Elgin, and North Aurora. We also request that you bring the dog to our adoption events twice a month. These events are typically on Saturday from 10-1 Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster’s place in the shelter.
