We have had our sweet guy for almost 8 years now. He is a shelter dog with a big loving heart. He is mostly a lab and has pointer markings on his body. Cowboy loves to roam and also loves to jump the fence. For this reason we are unable to keep him.My husband and I both work full time and we have 1 one year old boy. The prospective owner will need to have a 6ft fence or higher. He needs to be ran and played with often; He is the sweetest dog ever, just a little too much for our growing family and work schedule.Love- Cara Madill

Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes.  Scroll thru description for preferred contact info!!  Additionally for CATS you  may email latkinson@eulesstx.gov  and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Saint is proof that cute little puppies can grow up to be big dogs.  Saint started his life as a GAP puppy in late winter of 2019.  He was adopted and lived in a home for about a year then surrendered back to GAP.  Saint is a big boy at 80 pounds.  We think maybe a lab/mastiff mix.  He is as sweet as they come but still has a lot of puppy traits.  The bigger the dog the longer it takes to get out of the puppy stage. Saint loves to play with other dogs but sometimes does not realize how big he is.  He gets along great with my 11 pound foster dogs but sometimes can be a little rough in his play.  I think he would do best in a home with another dog.  Small children probably not a good idea just because Saint does not understand his size.  He is well behaved and does not jump on you.  Saint is the best leash walker.  Walks right at your hip.  No pulling at all.  If he does get ahead of you just a slight pull on the leash will get him back to your side.  Because he is still a puppy he will need to be in a crate when you are not at home.  He does chew sometimes, so keep your TV remotes and shoes picked up.  Saint thinks the best time to start the day is early, so if you are an early riser this is a good dog for you.  When he went to the vet and an adoption event he did not respond at all to the cats.  We always do suggest introducing dogs/cats with caution and allow time to get to know each other.  Saint does not understand stairs.  We have a 2 story home, and he will not go up the stairs.  If you think this big boy will be a good addition to your home contact foster mom at mssquared@hotmail.com

Story
Stella is a very energetic 7 month old lab mix puppy! She loves to give kisses and play with her toys. She is kennel trained and potty trained. She is a chewer and destructive, but that could be due to the amount of time she spends in her kennel. We want a loving home that has a yard for her to run and play in and who have plenty of time to give her. We love her so much but we just don’t have the time for her like we thought we did. We want to place her with a family who will love her as much as we do!

She was our foster for only a few days before we decided we wanted to keep her – she grows on you instantaneously!! However, as she has gotten older, it has been made obvious after some unfortunate incidents that Willow wants to be an only dog. With two other fur babies already in the family, it breaks our hearts to have to admit that we cannot provide her the environment she needs and must resume the search for her true forever home.   Willow is a beautiful black lab mix that is about two and half years old. She’s a medium sized dog at about 55 lbs but doesn’t believe that she’s not a lap dog. Her favorite spots are cuddling on the couch, cuddling in bed, and playing in the backyard (if cuddling in the grass were a thing, it would totally make the list). She loves her chew toys, crossing her front legs like a lady, and curling into little balls to take naps.    We’ve spent the last six months in a training program trying our best to make our situation work. That means that in addition to being loveable and playful by nature and potty trained since she was a young pup, Willow can now brag about knowing her basic commands and is totally crate trained. That said, she really doesn’t want to spend all of her time in a crate because she would much rather be with YOU! Yes, she would follow you to the bathroom if you let her.    We know Willow has a special place in the world carved out just for her. She is great with adults and has had limited exposure to older kids only. Due to the unknown factor and us wanting to be sure that her next home is her real forever, we would recommend that she not go to a home with young children. Willow NEEDS to be the only dog in the home and kept separate from any dogs in other situations as well. This is vital in order to guarantee her the longest and happiest life she can live!   Please ask us anything else you want to know about this precious cuddlebug! We’ve taken her to our vet for all her vaccinations and check-ups and can provide you with any records you may want.
