He still has plenty of life left in him and likes to trot along during his walks.  Ashton does not speak often but when he does, you can hear a little hound in him. Check it out below.  Ashton is curious about everything but does not destroy or chew on things he shouldn't. He likes to give kisses and get your attention by a gentle tap of his paw. Ashton came from a severe hoarding situation, so he prefers not to be alone for long periods of time or has a dog companion to keep him company while his human is away. He is very social and does well being around dogs, cats, kids, and adults. Check out the video of a trick he learned from his cat friends.  Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION by clicking on the button below. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Everyone meet Jazzmine aka Jazzy!  She is a yellow lab mix weighing in at 58 lbs and will be 3 years old in April.   She absolutely loves other playful dogs and has a blast with her foster siblings.  She also does well with kitties, she pretty much ignores them after the initial sniff and greet. Jazzy loves to snuggle at bedtime, foster mom does let her on the bed but she also likes to sleep on her own bed.  She is a champion napper and will snuggle in after a round of tag with her foster siblings. Jazzy is nervous around new people but warms up and once she knows you and feels comfortable, she loves you. Jazzy is house trained and crate trained, she does well in the crate when left alone and overnight, she does now have free roam in the house when her foster parents aren’t home and she does just fine, no issues at all.  She loves to chew on bones and play with her toys.  She is lightning fast and loves to chase tennis balls or anything that you throw really.  She does well in the car, she likes to stick her head out of the window to feel the wind in her hair! She knows basic commands such as sit and stay, we are working on her leash manners as she likes to pull and is nervous in unfamiliar surroundings so a harness with a leash and a collar with another leash is recommended until she is comfortable and has learned her leash manners. A little about Jazzy’s background, she was lost from a boarding kennel by escaping the fence before last Christmas and she was on her own for 42 days during the polar vortex this winter until she was rescued.  She was fast and elusive so it took her rescuers over a month to catch her.  She is so smart, she survived the bitter cold and is now thriving and happy to be safe.  She is a very loving and happy girl!  Given her winter on the lamb, Jazzy is a flight risk and her new family will have to make sure to take proper precautions to keep her safe. She gets her confidence from having another dog to pal around with so Jazzy will definitely need to have another playful dog in her new home to help make her feel comfortable.  Her foster home does not have children so it is unknown at this point how she does with them.   Jazzy is a really sweet and special girl and would love to have an active family with other dogs to call her own. Jazzmine's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, spay, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. SBF (single brindle female) seeking long term commitment. No fakers. I like long walks or snuggling by the   TV . I'm very laid back. I have 4 grown offspring that are all out of the house. I came here from Kentucky in April 2019. I have had some obstacles to overcome and conquered every one like a true Southern belle.   If you'd like to be interviewed for possible acceptance, please fill out an application.    Note from foster family;     This girl has been a dream foster. Rebecca (we call her Lexi, short for Lexington, Kentucky)  is potty trained, she is an amazing walker, she's a talker. I mean like a 16 year old girl who's really going to try to get her way. She's not much of a player. Meaning that playing fetch or toys with people is just not her thing. But, if you say "walk" or even make her think there's going to be a walk in her near feature she gets very excited. I have never seen a dog so excited to go on walks. Walks are very important for Lexi. Please consider adopting her if you already have a life style that includes or the ability to walk at least 2 times a day. We do about .5 -2 miles each walk 2-3 times a day. She has become accustomed to hanging out at our cabin. Lexi is my only foster I have EVER let off leash. I know I might get in trouble with NDLB because I'm sure this is not allowed but we did this with extreme caution and only after we had her for about 3 months. She pretty much just lays in the sun, eats grass and moves to a shady spot when she gets warm. She loves chasing bugs and the occasional critter so we still keep a close eye on her. Her only behavior that concerns me is I'm pretty sure she's an escape artist. Might be how she ended up in this situation.  I think she would do best in a laid back household as she take time to warm up to new people.  Lexi kennels without a problem, even when we first got her. She has been with us for a long time now, we don’t kennel her anymore.   She does really well with other dogs but too much peopleing can be stressful for her. She lets you know when she needs a break from a crowd of people.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccination, alter, 4dx, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Lacie is still learning to trust and will need patience and time to become a family member in full swing, as she has become in her current foster home.  Unfortunately her foster parents have long drives for work and little spare time, otherwise she would not be leaving them but they want more for her.   Lacie prefers to be the only dog in the home, due to all the down time she needed for heartworm treatment. She walks well on a leash and is house broken. Age: Estimated DOB 2/2/2025 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: No, I'm just a puppy Crate trained: No, I'm just a puppy Hi, my name is Tortellini from the Pasta litter. We are a litter of 11, 4 girls and 7 boys, that were born to an amazing momma in Missouri. During the first weeks of our lives, unfortunately, our momma got sick and passed away. The day she passed, we were placed in a car and headed to Minnesota. When we arrived at our foster home, we were placed in the “Puppy Room”- it was sooo warm. We were greeted by so many volunteers with bottles in hand, ready to feed us, we were hungry!! The volunteers’ hands were so warm and caring. They gushed over how adorable we were. Once our tummies were full, we settled in under a warm light and fell fast asleep. Our momma appeared in our dreams to tell us that she worked hard to place us with a loving and caring rescue. The volunteers bottle fed us for a few weeks. We then graduated to mush, softened kibble with milk, then to kibble. We are also trained to use a litter box. Our foster momma says we are pros; she is elated because 11 pups poop a lot!! My siblings and I love to eat, sleep, play and eat some more. We love to wrestle and chase each other, especially when we want the same toy. We also enjoy snuggling up and puppy piling on the bed for a nice long nap. My foster mom is saying that I am a sweet, loving and snuggly boy. I love to play with my siblings but also enjoy a long nap on your lap. I will definitely make an exceptional companion for life. It is time for me to find my forever family; is that you? Hurry and fill out the application because I am excited to start our lives together. Adoption Fee: $595

My name is Lewis but I am often called Lou If you are looking for a friend to watch whatever shows you want on tv I am your guy! If you are looking for someone that loves to chill on the couch with then I am your guy! If you are looking for someone to take walks with or even go for a jog with them I am also your guy as I love to go on walks! I love my humans and get attached to them, so it would be best if I was your one and only fur baby! I do like kids but have never been around real little kids so you may have to watch that I don’t knock them over as I would feel bad. I would love to be with someone who isn’t gone all the time as I will miss them so much. I roam free when my humans are gone and do fine with that, although I do have a habit of counter surfing so its best if you do not leave any food on the counter for me to snack on. I am told that I am the sweetest boy and would love to find my forever home so you can see that too. Lou Adoption Fee: $495
