Louie is a very sweet and loving dog. He has lived with cats, dogs and kids all very well. He is housetrained to use potty pads but we've been working on housetraining him to use the bathroom outside only. He is anxious about going outside alone and really prefers you to be out with him. He is afraid of men when he first meets them but warms up quickly. He has never tried bite or shown aggression in any way. Louis loves to snuggle.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.To speed up the adoption process, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application.  Midnight is a female black lab mix found in Texas as a stray and is looking for her forever home!  Her future family will need to have patience while her confidence builds and she learns to trust humans.   Princess Midnight loves hanging with our resident dog and chasing him around the back yard.    He has been instrumental in helping her learn to play with toys,  how to 'dog', and know that people are safe and fun to be around!  She rides well on the car,  and enjoys sleeping on her dog bed,  and watching TV.  She is very quiet and moves in super-stealth mode like a Ninja.  It takes a bit to get her to go outside,  unless she really needs to potty; then she is out the door.    Her safety zone is inside her crate.    While she would probably be fine on her own,  having a dog friend may be ideal as learning by example is currently her go-to method.    She is still learning that cats are not for chasing and play differently.    She is becoming more confident every day!   Ms. Midnight had been attending shy class training with Happy Tails' partner Your Dog's Best Friend (ydbf.com) at the center in Fridley.  She has been making great improvements with both other dogs and people.  Prior to adoption I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. She is incredibly sweet and is always in the mood to play. She is currently working on her manners, specifically jumping when she is excited. Potential adopters will need to continue to work on that but she is very treat and people motivated so she should do very well. Because of her high energy she would do best in a home with older children or an adult only home.  She is a pretty high energy young gal and will need someone who can exercise her both physically and mentally. While with us she has been great with dogs of all sizes and she does a great job of matching play styles. She takes correction from other dogs very well and is respectful when they are asking her to stop. Lady prefers to meet new people a little slower but she typically loves them after she has checked them out and especially after they give her treats. She is not at all aggressive, she can just be nervous/fearful. She is potty and crate trained and is generally very quiet in the crate. Lady had an accident before coming to us that resulted in her eyelid never being able to close or blink. We opted to have corrective surgery in order to give her more comfort and use of her eyelid. Since the surgery she is now able to blink and only requires eye ointment every one in a while when it is especially dry. She does have some skin allergies and is taking a daily allergy pill. Lady will come with 3 free follow up training sessions with our Healing Haven Outreach Team during her transition to a new home.     If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Barley is a smart handsome dude who loves to rule the roost! He is kennel trained, knows basic commands, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. His favorite activities are playing with his ball by himself, splashing in the kiddie pool, rolling around in the snow in the winter, going for walks, going for hikes, car rides, giving kisses and lots of snuggles in bed. Barley needs a strong leader. He gets along with most other dogs, but seems to do best with females that are smaller than he is. He also seems to get along with smaller dogs in general. Barley has some resource guarding with his bones and toys, so letting him either put down the toy first is best or replacing it with a different toy works well. Barley has been with his foster mom for awhile and she is able to take items away from him without any issue and believes that with time and trust an adopter would able to as well. Barley is would love an active home who will take me for hikes, long walks, to the lake in the summer, and even just a quick road trip to McDonalds for their super tasty pup cups. We are a litter of 11, 4 girls and 7 boys, that were born to an amazing momma in Missouri. During the first weeks of our lives, unfortunately, our momma got sick and passed away. The day she passed, we were placed in a car and headed to Minnesota. When we arrived at our foster home, we were placed in the “Puppy Room”- it was sooo warm. We were greeted by so many volunteers with bottles in hand, ready to feed us, we were hungry!! The volunteers’ hands were so warm and caring. They gushed over how adorable we were. Once our tummies were full, we settled in under a warm light and fell fast asleep. Our momma appeared in our dreams to tell us that she worked hard to place us with a loving and caring rescue. The volunteers bottle fed us for a few weeks. We then graduated to mush, softened kibble with milk, then to kibble. We are also trained to use a litter box. Our foster momma says we are pros; she is elated because 11 pups poop a lot!! My siblings and I love to eat, sleep, play and eat some more. We love to wrestle and chase each other, especially when we want the same toy. We also enjoy snuggling up and puppy piling on the bed for a nice long nap. My foster mom is saying that I am a sweet, loving and snuggly boy. I love to play with my siblings but also enjoy a long nap on your lap. I will definitely make an exceptional companion for life.
