Story
We found Kane being kept locked in a closet while visiting our friend’s brother. We immediately started driving there every day to walk Kane and make sure he was fed. This dog was neglected for his first 2 years of life and it is heartbreaking. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. I promise. With that being said, he is 2 years old and A LOT to handle. He is hyper and needs to be walked everyday to drain his energy. He also barks during the day if he hears noises while you are gone. However, he is NOW microchipped, up to date on all of his shots, neutered and graduated from a 6 week training course. Please give this dog a loving home. I truly want to keep him myself, but I already have 3 cats of my own in a 2BDR apartment.

+++++++++++COURTESY POST+++++++++ **Maddox is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TX. He is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. His adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers his transport to his new family. He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.** Well hello there! I&#39m Maddox and I&#39m pleased to meet you. I must say, I consider myself to be a &#34lucky dog&#34. One day, I&#39m wandering the streets of Houston, without a home, and the next I know, I&#39m in a very nice home, with a lady who promised me that she will find me a forever home. Luck just seems to follow me and I&#39d be happy to bring that luck to your life, too. I&#39m 55 lbs and 2 yrs. old. I&#39m house-trained, getting used to the crate--not my favorite activity, and energetic. I&#39m working on my obedience training and have caught on to a couple commands very quickly. In fact, right now, I&#39m being fostered by a very good professional trainer, so you know I&#39m learning every day. They tell me I&#39m a quick study. I like people. Sometimes I like to take a little time to get to know people, but I&#39m definitely a people-oriented guy. I also like car rides, because that&#39s a bit of an adventure, too. I am good with other dogs, but I do appreciate a proper introduction. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, active dog, who enjoys taking walks, wouldn&#39t mind learning how to be a running partner, and enjoys a little chill time, I just may be your guy! I&#39m fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and have received a clean bill of health. If you&#39d like to meet me, please contact info@wagsfundrescue.com to set up a meet and greet. Thanks. Maddox is available for adoption thru the WAGS Fund Rescue Group. Please email info@wagsfundrescue.com to set up a meet and greet! +++This pet is being posted as a courtesy to another group or individual. This pet is not part of the Joyrides adoption program. I am Wagger. I am from Minnesota. Wagger is a cuddle bunny. 2yr old Rottweiler mix who thinks he is a lap dog. He will play with toys but honestly would rather just sit next to you and receive all of the love and affection you are willing to give. he has been doing good on his walks and has become a volunteer and staff favorite with his goofy personality and constantly wagging tail.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, I'm Laura. I'm from Texas. From the foster: I am a sweet lady who loves going on walks! My foster mom is still getting to know me but she says I'm amazing with all humans especially the 11 year old in the house, I ignore the cats, and I love belly rubs! I like to nose dive to the ground and plop onto my back for itchies! Iove toys and can entertain myself throwing them around or playing tug with a human is fun too! I'm still figuring out ques from other dogs but with slow intros could do okay with another dog, i get along with the bulldog at foster moms house but am too exuberant for the other dogs...i seem like i just really want to play. I love chewing bones, am crate trained, and I have had ZERO accidents with foster mom. I'm a really good girl and can't wait to find my forever home! From her foster: Slow intros with other dogs are 100 percent necessary. Better with smaller dogs. From the Vet: "Hi! My name is Laura, I came into rescue in February of this year and I have had a few issues that took a while to resolve. My main issue was a problem with persistent vomiting. I was given supportive care to treat this while it was happening, but the vets did lots of testing to rule out certain illnesses like Addisons Disease. I started on a Hypoallergenic diet and steroid medication and I am now showing lots of improvement. I have also tapered off of the steroid, but we think it will be best for me to continue on this food life-long or discuss future diet changes with a primary care veterinarian. An allergy shot has also helped with some skin issues as well. I came with an ear infection that has since cleared up and I will need a dental surgery that can be scheduled with The Bond Between Vet Center after my adoption (or this will be scheduled in April if I have not been adopted yet) and this procedure will be covered by TBB." I'm so excited to meet you soon so I can settle into my furever home!"

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Roxy the Rottie is about 5 years old and weighs about 80 lbs. When she first became a foster, she was a very scared girl because she came from bad living conditions before finding NDLB. Roxy has already made a lot of progress coming out of her shell in her foster home, but she is still very skittish of a lot around her. Roxy was comfortable with her foster’s resident dogs right away, but she is taking her time trusting the humans. We think Roxy would do best in a home with just one larger dog that can take lead and show her the ropes in her new home. She gets spooked when there is a lot going on. Roxy doesn’t bother the resident cat in her foster home, but she should not be around small dogs because she has a hard time respecting their space. Roxy has not been around any kids, so we are unsure of her skills in that area. She has not shown any signs of aggression. Roxy’s new home will require a fenced yard as she likes to take her time outside on her own, especially for the first weeks in her new home. She does pretty good on a leash but tends to pull a little. While getting used to her surroundings, Roxy likes to have access to her kennel so she can get away from everything when she’s feeling overwhelmed. She does great when left alone in her kennel, and that is where she sleeps at night. Roxy hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home and seems to be potty trained if she is let out on a schedule. Roxy is ready for a forever home that is quiet, gentle, patient, and loving! Roxy’s foster says she does not have a mean bone in her body and is a very sweet and gentle girl! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Introducing Squirrley I have to admit, it isn’t easy being named after most dog’s arf nemesis. It’s like naming a cat Mousey. Or naming a sheep, Wolfy. Or nick naming a Vampire, Sunshine. The only thing worse might have been to name me *gasp* Mailman, Amazon Delivery Dude or UPS Lady. All sworn enemies of the canines by oath of law. Truffly though, I really don’t mind the name. I am just happy to not be living on my own and actually have an identity. I was rescued by a Street Dog Rescuer after being dumped on the side of the road wrapped in a shower curtain and old bedspread. I was skin and bones. That was a sad day for me to be treated like garbage. There is a light at the tunnel. My saddest day opened the door to what will be my best day. The DAY YOU ADOPT ME!! I am a female 5 year old Boxer mix weighing in about 30 pounds. The best way to remember that I am a female is to remember that squirrelly rhymes with girly. It also rhymes with Shirley, but surely you knew that. You are a smart human right? I am an intelligent girl too. I am being a good girl around all the other dogs at the rescue camp. I don’t beg or seek attention, but when the Rescue Lady talks to me, I stop to listen. She stops to watch my ears wiggle to catch her voice. I have the best ears on campus. I love that the humans talk to me. It is just so refreshing to have someone pay attention to little ole me. I come when called because not only does this Rescue Lady pay me with attention, she has been known to also pay me in a dog desired currency, weenies. So do you want to be the lucky person that provides me with my BEST DAY EVER???? If so, please fill out an application.

Story
Introducing Mama Theresa JuM The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That an ancient pawverb. Since the humans named me after Mother Theresa, I am feeling it necessary to have my bio start with a teachable moment. Possums are our friends. Repeat. Possums are our friends. Possums eat ticks. Humans and dogs hate ticks. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I am currently on antibioticks for a tick borne disease called Ehrlichia pronounced errrrlickya. Furthermore, the xray vision photos that Dr G took also revealed more evidents, dents in my past. Tadah you have an old injury on your front right leg and right hip. That explains the limp. No surgery required but I am taking some glucosamine in the hopes that it kinda just glues by bones back together. Obviously due to that Vet report I have not been living on easy street. I am a sweet loving 4 year old 50 pound Doberman Labrador mix. Dr G even threw out Greyhound as a guesstimutt due to my elegant snout and super lanky legs. Super model mutterial right here. But wait, there is more, I am a litteral Mother and not in the way of Mother Theresa or Mother Nature. I actually was rescued from Laredo, Texas, along with a brood of 5 gorgeous babies. Unlike my puppies, I am crate trained and good on leash. I am good around other dogs and humans. In fact, I ADORE humans. I would prefer a home that does not have rowdy playful dogs because I am not too active due to my gimpy legs. I would enjoy a home with a place to relax and an evening stroll with my human or canine pal. My puppies are now weaned due to their shark teefers. They can eat the hard kibble. I am ready to start my own life. A better life than the one I existed in prior to rescue. My tick disease will clear up with the antibioticks, but my limp shall remain. I am hoping that you and I can make new memories to replace my first 4 years of things that I would rather forget. Cliff’s Notes: Mama Theresa JuM- sweet loving female 4yr black Lab/Doberman/Greyhound mix, 50 lbs, did test positive for Ehrilichia and is receiving treatment, has a limp on the right side due to past injuries that do not require further treatment, good with dogs and humans, sweet, not too active due to gimpy legs

Story
Meet Bradley JuM Need a shoulder to cry on? White dogs tend to get adopted quicker than brindle fellas, but brindle dogs are much better for wiping snot and mascara on. Say you are watching a Bradley Cooper movie, A Star is Born, try blowing your nose and wiping that on a white dog, what a mess. Me, blends right in. Camuttflauge for any type of dirt, secretion, or just a good place to wipe the Cheeto dust off your finger tips. *cronch cronch, oh, you were planning to share the Cheetos, right????* I might won’t pass the white glove test, but I will pass the Good Boy Test. I am happy with everyone. I love all other dogs. I do have the hunky 50 pound athletic frame of a Boxer, but I am not SHALLOW, my personality is poochy keen. I am so vibrant for a 4 year old, Foster Mom keeps asking me, “did you find the fountain of youth”, nope, but if you show me to a tree, I can show you a fountain. *he he he, I crack me up* I was rescued from the local muttnicipal shelter on the dreaded last day, so there was a silver lining in my playbook. I am getting up to speed on both potty and crate training and leash walking. Whether it is to a crash a wedding, support you during a hangover, or just be a general Kleenex during the latest rom com or romedy or dramady or any other movie colab, I am ready to hustle!
