Loki has a smile that you will love, an independent nature, and boy does he enjoy getting outside for laying in the sun or shade, and going on an adventure. Like so many huskies, Loki is going to be a great fit for people who love and understand this breed. He sure enjoyed getting a good brushing outside, and we think he appreciates our efforts to get rid of his winter coat! If you are a husky lover please come and meet Loki...he might be the one you've been waiting for!Loki is currently in a foster home! If you have questions about Loki or would like to set up a meet and greet please call his foster mom Angela! 650-766-7966

Story
Hi, my name is Ghost and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Nov 17, 2023. I like to think I’m a pretty independent pup, but having a person to share life with is really all I want. I may sometimes think my idea or direction is the better one, and I may sometimes be right, but what’s important is that we get to figure it out together!

PLEASE SPONSOR ME!It will turn my life upside down!Read about Sponsorship here.* SECURELY FENCED YARD REQUIRED * NO CATS * NO SMALL DOGS *If you are interested in Alpha please fill out an online application and we will schedule your home visit ASAP.Meet Alpha the new kid on the block! He came to WAMAL with Moose at a time when their shelter was shutting down due to the current pandemic. Alpha is a one year old male malamute husky mix. He is 78 pounds and could stand to lose a little weight. He has a very puppy-like nature with a fun energetic and goofy attitude. Alpha will do well with an active family to help him burn off some of his extra energy. He will also need a structured and loving home that can guide him on the ins and outs of Good Boy status as he currently enjoys jumping and playing tug of war with the leash in his mouth. Continued and patient training will go a long way with this pup! Alpha is very affectionate and will fit in well with a northern breed experienced and knowledgeable family. The adoption fee of $400 includes spay-neuter and all vaccines. Alpha is being lovingly cared for in Washington while he awaits his new forever home.More pictures of Alpha Click here to submit an adoption application for me! Visit our website at http://www.wamal.com/ Alaskan Malamutes are warm and friendly, playful, gentle, intelligent and silly. Their exquisite beauty is the result of centuries of adaptation to the harsh Arctic climate where they lived as close companions to the Mahlemut Eskimos, pulling heavy sledges over terrible terrain in harsh weather. Malamutes shed twice a year and should be brushed regularly. Since they are so large, they should never be left alone with small children unsupervised, though this is true of any dog.Malamutes participate in many sports such as backpacking, weight-pulling, carting, sojourning and competition obedience. Their best-known feature is their extraordinary sweetness of temperament.Record last updated: Sat Apr 4 11:28:05 2020W16-0320-AM1Color: Red/WhiteW16-0320-AM1
