Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees. You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com IMPORTANT INFO: If you are interested in this pup/dog, please fill out the application (link listed above). The rescue will contact you once the application is received. Although we strive to answer everyone, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to all emails. Filling out the application is the best way and ensures a response from the rescue. In addition, while you are emailing us, if others apply, you can lose out adopting the dog you chose. We have hundreds and hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. However, if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that. Also, please note that we are almost always holding adoption events on Saturdays at noon at Pet Works in Olympia, Washington if you would like to meet with us in person. Pricing: Adoption fees vary. Young puppies are usually $495 (can be more). Fees vary from $300 to $800; depending on age, breed, training, behavior, etc. There are no additional fees, surcharges, or taxes added. Our adoption fees cover the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. Additionally, any dogs over 6 months have had a negative heart-worm test. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers and many of us donate 70+ hours/week and thousands/year of our own funds. WA and OR shelters are funded by taxpayers, hence, many have lower adoption fees. SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues to assist them in adopting/rehoming of dogs by listing on this site. We donate all volunteers to assist in getting these dogs forever homes. All adoption fees go towards helping more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Since worldwide over 1/2 billion puppies/dogs are PTS yearly and over 9,000/day just in U.S. shelters, yes even entire litters of puppies are PTS daily in many US shelters! Hence, we firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Meet Mia (pronounced my-ah), a beautiful Malamute just under a year old. She needs someone who has experience with her breed. She was born April 18, 2019. She is dog friendly, used to live with smaller dogs, and at her current foster has big dogs to play with. She doesn't know that she is a big 70 pound dog and can play with other dogs a little rough. But she loves playing with them! She is child friendly, she was living with a small child and had no issues . She is very treat oriented, which helps in teaching her basic manners. She is potty trained, and knows how to use a doggie door. She is leash trained, but does pull a little, which her current foster dad is working on with her on. She is not spayed yet she has had first and second rounds of vaccinations but we don't have paperwork on it. She is very lovable and enjoys her people! She also is a girl who likes to be heard, the typical Malamute vocal trait! So if you have experience with this breed and think Mia would be a great fit for your family, we would love for you to complete an online application at our website, www.secondchancedogs.net. The adoption donation is $350.00, of which a portion is tax deductible. All donations are funneled back into the rescue for care of the animals we take in.

Story
Hi, my name is Ghost and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Nov 17, 2023. I like to think I’m a pretty independent pup, but having a person to share life with is really all I want. I may sometimes think my idea or direction is the better one, and I may sometimes be right, but what’s important is that we get to figure it out together!

Story
We are in need of re-homing our dog, Maximus. Maximus was adopted as a puppy and has always been very happy, loving, and high energy, malamute mix. He is fully vetted. Unfortunately after 6 years we need to re-home max. He was attacked by a dog four years ago and has started developing behavioral changes. He currently deals with anxiety towards dogs, (other than the one he lives with), cats, small children, some adults, with spontaneous toy and food aggression. He has a bite history due to lack of trust, proper guidance, and training. He’s had two incidents, neither requiring stitches, or anything more than simple first aide. We have taken Max to three professional classes, and saw improvement, with another dog being able to walk with him with no aggression. We also have a boarding facility, where we leave him with on holidays, and they have never had any issues with him. He does great in their care. We are hoping to find a good foster or permanent home to help Maximus.
