Rubeus is a well behaved and will be 2yrs old in June! Rubeus loves snuggling and playing with his various toys. Rubeus does very well on his leash and off. Rubeus does NOT do well when left alone. He is looking for his forever home and would prefer to be around older children/adults that can respect his space (toddlers overwhelm Rubeus). He will come with his toys, food, bed, leash and harness when his new loving family comes to pick him up!

I am still nervous, but am VERY treat motivated so I can be easily won over!I will happily `sit` for treats :)Due to my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home without children (fast movements and loud noises).My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Hi! My name is Ruby, and I am available for adoption.I weigh 51.0 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I was originally brought to RASKC on December 1, 2021. I was then adopted and then transferred from another animal shelter back to here after my owner passed away. I am a smart girl who knows how to sit, shake paws, and follow new instructions. I am a medium sized dog who sleeps and lounges throughout the day. I would love to curl up next to you or in your lap. Ruby loves to play with her toys and likes fetching.My caregivers have observed that I seem to be dog selective. I have done well with other dogs my size with a more gentle playing style but I have also met other dogs that I do not get along with. I can get a little excited every now and then so I need a playmate who will be able to tell me when I am pushing their boundaries. When meeting dogs in a new home I would do best with a slow introduction.I cannot go to a home with children.I really enjoy people and just want to hug you or give me your paw so that you can hold it!I am food motivated, but have skin sensitivies so I need to be a special diet for my sensitivities.My personality color is RED.
