Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Baxter is a very sweet boy that came from Alabama.  Once he arrived we found out he was heartworm positive.  He has been undergoing treatment and will receive at least 1 more injection prior to being available for adoption.  He is house trained, crate trained, and he is a little bit of a puller on the leash.  His excitement for other dogs can come off as aggression, however, once the proper introductions, he loves them.  Baxter should not be around cats... as they are looked at as food!  If you are interested in Baxter, please fill out an application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.  Please also be mindful that we will not let him be adopted until at least one month after his last injection. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Barkley is in need of a new foster home where he can be the only canine! If you're interested in fostering, email fosters.protectingpaws@gmail.com Barkley DOB June 2016 Boxer Mix Barkley (or as his foster dad affectionately calls him, Bort) came to PPAR underweight and in some serious need of affection! Barkley has filled out to a normal weight, and is now ready for his forever home! Barkley is a very smart pup! He's potty trained, kennel trained, and knows Sit, Shake & Lay Down. He's working on learning Roll Over next! He does great in his kennel all day while his foster dad is at work. (He could easily be trained to be loose in the house once long term as well). His favorite pastimes are chasing after squirrels and rabbits in the yard, going on walks (mostly so he can sniff out more things he'd like to chase) and most of all - CUDDLING! He likes cuddling and ALL the belly rubs which is nice because he has a really soft belly. He's a fan of licking and very gentle nibbles on hands and arms while he is showing you his love. He would make a horrible guard dog, just happy to see whoever comes to the door and doesn't bark. He's a funny sleeper and his face does some great things, I included a picture of him with a spit bubble. Barkley would do best in a home where he is the only dog or with a forever family comfortable with slow and proper introductions. Barkley has been neutered, microchipped & vaccinated. If you are interested in learning more about Barkley, or applying for his adoption, email adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com

Story
Meet Peach (aka Olive!) This 8-month-old Boxer/Catahoula mix is equal parts brains, beauty, and boundless energy. Peach is a wicked smart girl who loves to learn, play, and stay active. She really great at puzzle toys and would thrive on someone who could give her that mental stimulation. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and always ready for her next adventure—but she’d prefer a home where she doesn’t have to spend all day in a kennel. Peach is a total people-lover and forms strong bonds with her humans. She thrives with structure and consistency, and like any smart pup, she’ll test boundaries to see what she can get away with—so an experienced dog owner would be ideal. She adores other dogs and would do best in a home with a playful canine companion. She’s also working on being respectful around dog-savvy cats. Older, respectful kids are a good match for her energy and enthusiasm. Her foster calls her the “sock thief”—but don’t worry, she just likes to collect them, not chew them! Peach is great at entertaining herself with toys and loves a good zoomie session, so a fenced yard is a must. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and intelligent companion who’s ready to be your shadow and your workout buddy, Peach might just be your perfect match

Snapshot of Rockford Age? 5 years Size? Jumbo (50-60 lbs) Potty trained? I'm a pro! Crate trained? Yep! Good with kids? No kids, if you please. Good with dogs? No dogs, if you please. Good with cats? No cats, please! Good with strangers? I can get excited, but I want to love everyone. Shedding? Average.  Interested? Learn more about Rockford below! Please read thoroughly before applying! Meet Rockford! Hello! My name is Rockford, but you can call me Rocky. I am a 3-year-old squishy pitbull with a beautiful reddish coat! I am both housetrained and crate trained, and I know lots of useful tricks like sit, leave it, stay, and more! Beauty AND brains! I'm also adorable (if you couldn't already tell by my pictures). When I sleep, I make lots of cute little gremlin noises that I know you will fall in love with. I love my foster mommy, and I love to follow her all around the house. I love going for car rides as much as possible. I also love going on night time walks to explore the world! The kids in my home current home make me stressed, so I will need a foster home with no young kids. I'll definitely need to be the only fur-child as well. I'm not a big fan of other animals, and it'd be best if I could be your one-and-only. After all, that means more attention for me! I'll snuggle in your lap, play games, run around doing zoomies, or nap with you all day! I am a stocky boy, and I will need a home with a securely fenced yard. If that doesn't work, I will need a strong handler for walks. Working with me to get used to nicely walking on a harness will help.  I'm currently working on training in my foster home, and will need an adopter who is committed to keep working with me. Like I said, I'm really smart, but I sometimes have trouble focusing. Continued training will help me to relax and feel more at home!  I love people, so my humans will also need to be prepared for lots of snuggles and play time. Think I might be the one?? Apply to meet me today! Not ready to adopt? I'm also looking for a new foster home! Email dogs@twincitiespetrescue.org for information, so submit an application today! Adoption Fee: Sponsored! ($0) This includes up-to-date vaccinations and preventatives, spay/neuter, microchip, a negative heartworm test, and a negative fecal test. Our adopters are also eligible for a free 1-hour consultation. Training Requirement: Training required.    MEET ME/ADOPT ME:  If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting  www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog/ . A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you once your application is reviewed. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. We can only rescue as many animals as available foster homes. Please consider saving the life of an animal in need and become a volunteer foster home today. To become a foster, fill out a dog or cat foster application on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website: www.twincitiespetrescue.org. There is little to no cost to foster an animal. Twin Cities Pet Rescue provides its foster families with food, supplies, and veterinary care for its animals. All you need to do is supply the love! PLEASE NOTE: Twin Cities Pet Rescue does not adopt to homes further than 60 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.&#226&#128&#139 Mobile friendly link: https://tinyurl.com/adoptgiraffedog   Name: Zeus Breed: American Pitbull Terrier Mix Adoption Fee: $150 Date of Birth (estimated): 1/14/2016 Weight: 67 lbs Good with Dogs:   dog selective Good with Cats: no Good with Children: yes, but doesn't always know his size so older children are best House Trained: yes Crate Trained: yes - can be vocal about it at times Exercise Needs: high Other Needs: he is e-collar trained and will need a family who will continue to use it Zeus is a big goofy boy who loves to snuggle & play. He is the world's best snuggler & loves to spend his days romping around in the backyard - where he can keep himself preoccupied for hours with a ball or even a stick :) He is great on a leash and seriously acts like he's your service dog in public. Zeus is a bigger guy and can be mouthy at time so we would recommend children who are older. He is house trained & is crate trained, although he is only crated bc his foster home has multiple dogs - otherwise he is fine being loose. Zeus LOVES training - he excels when he knows what is expected of him and he aims to please. He listens to commands very well and is all around a very special dog. He makes his foster family laugh every day with his goofy antics, playful attitude & his sometimes uncoordinated play skills.  Zeus will need to have a bit of a slower transition to his forever family to ensure he transitions well. Zeus will also come with 3 free follow up training sessions with our Healing Haven Outreach Team during his transition to a new home.  You can follow me on facebook / Instagram by searching @giraffedogzeus If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, 4Dx test (covers tick-borne diseases ( A naplasmosis   , Lymes, E   hrlichiosis) as well as heart worm)    & de-worming.  We ask that our dogs live indoors unless otherwise stated & agreed upon.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Name: Tia Breed: Pitbull Terrier Mix Adoption Fee: $150 Date of Birth (estimated): 11/26/2014 Weight: 60 lbs Good with Dogs: no Good with Cats:   no Good with Children: no House Trained: yes Crate Trained: yes Exercise Needs: high Other Needs: fenced in yard (6 foot) // preferably an adopter with bully breed experience // supervision with toys (obstruction risk), requires anxiety medication (prozac), has thunderstorm anxiety,   Tia is the best of both worlds. She is a total love bug who loves to sprawl out in her kennel run while she relaxes and chews a bone but she is also always up for an adventure and absolutely loves to get out on walks and of course adores a good snuggle on the couch. Tia would do best in a home without children as they cause a lot of excitement and she does best when in a calmer state of mind. Tia prefers to meet new people at her own pace and given time to warm up she has loved everyone she has met with us. She is completely house trained (she never has accidents in her kennel) and crates amazing with no barking. Tia is a loyal gal who would love nothing more than to have humans of her own. She would thrive in an experienced, dog savvy home that can continue to teach her the joys of rules, structure, and boundaries. She does best with a calm, confident leader who can be patient with her while she gets to know her new routine/what is expected of her. Tia has made great progress in pack walking with other calm dogs but she is not a dog that would do well in playgroups/off leash settings. While she has done ok with being around familiar dogs in very controlled on leash situations, she needs to be an only dog/animal. She will also require a home that has a 6ft fence. She LOVES playing outside and needs a secure space where she can run and play with all her toys without worrying about strange dogs coming into her space. Tia has been known to ingest toys and because of this is at a higher risk for an obstruction. Adopters will need to ensure Tia does not have access to toys that she can fully ingest and she must be supervised if she has toys that she may rip apart and ingest. She is also muzzle trained and will come with a muzzle when moving to her new home. Tia is on a once daily medication to help mange her general anxiety (prozac). She does have storm anxiety as well and does best when she can be out with you or in alcatraz/heavy duty kennel. Tia will will also come with 3 free follow up training sessions with our Healing Haven Outreach Team during her transition to a new home.   If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, 4Dx test (covers tick-borne diseases ( A naplasmosis , Lymes, E hrlichiosis) as well as heart worm)  & de-worming.  We ask that our dogs live indoors unless otherwise stated & agreed upon.   We are a smaller group that typically takes on harder cases that require special homes so we ask that applicants live in our area - if you do not live in the MN, please contact us via email before submitting an application to determine whether the animal you are interested in is a case we are comfortable adopting out to a family out of our area.

Someone who enjoys physical activity and would love to have their pup join them. Hiking, jogging, biking, running, camping, exploring, etc.. Cyrus really loves trying new things and he thrives being able to use his brain in new ways. He is treadmill trained and he would really love to have a treadmill to use in his new home - however there is an option for him to continue going to daycare with his trainer where he has a fully structured day with treadmill time and enrichment.      If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com.
