I am a 3-year-old squishy pitbull with a beautiful reddish coat! I am both housetrained and crate trained, and I know lots of useful tricks like sit, leave it, stay, and more! Beauty AND brains! I'm also adorable (if you couldn't already tell by my pictures). When I sleep, I make lots of cute little gremlin noises that I know you will fall in love with. I love my foster mommy, and I love to follow her all around the house. I love going for car rides as much as possible. I also love going on night time walks to explore the world! The kids in my home current home make me stressed, so I will need a foster home with no young kids. I'll definitely need to be the only fur-child as well. I'm not a big fan of other animals, and it'd be best if I could be your one-and-only. After all, that means more attention for me! I'll snuggle in your lap, play games, run around doing zoomies, or nap with you all day! I am a stocky boy, and I will need a home with a securely fenced yard. If that doesn't work, I will need a strong handler for walks. Working with me to get used to nicely walking on a harness will help.  I'm currently working on training in my foster home, and will need an adopter who is committed to keep working with me. Like I said, I'm really smart, but I sometimes have trouble focusing. Milly is a 2yo affectionate, energetic, and smart girl. She loves sticks, frisbees, long walks and swimming. She is vocal when excited and plays well with other dogs in neutral ground. She does get very Territorial in her own home. Skittish around small kids but has been getting better at ignoring them! She is also dramatic, has a big personality, speaks and sighs. She does great in public! She’s been to outdoor patios, busy lakes, and is a frequent dog park goer. She is extremely affectionate and loyal, is not a runner. She does get skittish with things such as nail clipping and vet visits but everybody loves her and she gives everyone kisses at the beginning and the end. Has finished level 1 obedience class with Canine Coach. Also has an in home dog training with Bark Buster for life of the dog. Will need to be the only dog in the household.

Rogue is probably about 1.5 years old. We've had her for a year, and she is still a rambunctious, eager puppy. She is very loving and interacts with our neighbor's children well. She gets along with our other two dogs, but is aggressive towards strange dogs. She is doing well at doggy daycare, but I'm not sure she will ever be comfortable at the dog park. She is very active and loves to run. She bounds everywhere in the backyard and it seems like she never gets tired. She needs a family that is a bit more active than ours (our other two dogs would prefer to never be outside).

Bo has been dreaming for his home to come along for 542,880 minutes.  Not one of those 32,572,800 seconds has gone by without looking, hoping, and dreaming!    *Updated 2/18/2020 Hard to believe that I have been in foster for over 365 days now. The year has flown by, and I have learned so much more about living a good relaxed life. I am still a work in progress, but I am still a loveable goof that likes to squeak my toys and drink lots of water; in fact, I drink to just about anything...when I come in from outside, when anyone laughs, if a commercial comes on the tv, a birds flies by...I take a swig of water. Which means, I like to go outside a lot to go potty! I go out on a tie out leash now and still manage to have some fun times running around, but I know, I would love to be able to have a fenced in yard to run around even more. I know, I am loved and cared for but I am still wondering about my forever home. Is there another family out there that can understand my rough edges and huge loving heart? I will give you a high five anytime to show you how much I am in it with you; are you a strong dog owner that can high five back?  *Updated 10/24/2019* Woo Hoo! Bo is excited to let you know that he has officially been removed from "training hold status"! He has been working so very hard to learn how to meet new people but still needs slow introductions. He truly is a wonderful, loving, respectful, obedient, and hilarious pup with his foster family. He has personality plus and to say he loves his sqeaking pig is an understatement. Bo is a great dog and companion, that has so much fun and love to give;though he will for sure need a family that has their thumbs on him at all times when new people or animals are around. Day to day, he is just so much fun and easy going. He loves to just be a part of the family and hang out whereever they are. Update 9/15/2019- Foster Coordinator observations I finally got an opportunity to meet Bo about a month ago at one of his training sessions. When I walked through the door there was a few barks but his foster parents made sure that they had him in control. As I made my way to the kitchen table and sat down, I placed my hands in my lap. Within a few minutes of sitting down he had settled down and came up to me to sniff. 30 seconds later he is giving sweet little kisses on my hands. Knowing how he was before training I just let him keep coming up to me and not looking at him or petting him. After about 15 minutes of that I gave him some much deserved pets, he is as sweet as pie. Bo and his foster parents have came so far in the last few months. They all have gotten out of there comfort zones and helped this boy with the hardest part of his life! I know there is someone out there that has the time, patients, and love that this guy deserves! Foster Updates-8/25/2019 Bo is loving the dog days of Summer and the wonderful toys that have been sent his way. Hanging out in the yard and munching on some grass is a great day for Bo. He also loves the freedom to run through the house squeaking his pig toys; sounds like he is practicing duck calls for the upcoming hunting season. He continues to work with a trainer, meet new people, and enjoy all the things that come with living his best life. Fall is coming quickly; he is ready to start sporting some team gear and watch some football! Keep watching for more updates and see which team he will supporting! Update 8/2/2019 - Intake Coordinator observations* Bo's foster parents took him in nearly 7 months ago with limited knowledge of how exactly to handle him safely in their home. Guess what happened? They learned! He learned! They have allowed him a place to feel at ease as he tested himself beyond his boundaries,  continuously stretching himself all the while adding to their own skill set, knowledge and expanding their own boundaries. When I first met Bo back in February, he barked, lunged, stared and exhibited red zone behavior. Fast forward to now and I've gotten chin kisses, been allowed to check his teeth, rub his sweet face and give him an abundance of neck scratches. He is still on alert when I come to see him, but he no longer lunges or barks. He sits with excitement and allows for pets. He still has to learn a few things when it comes to 'stranger danger', but he is well on his way! He has learned how to walk on a leash, watch and listen for his commands and so much more. He's responding beautifully to training. He will always live a lifestyle of training and will need a home committed to continue and maintain his training. Bo is crushing his second chance proving to everyone what time, patience and training can do for a dog. Oh and he's graduated from Behavioral Hold to Training Hold. Whohoo!! Update 6/23/2019* The calendar said "Summer" and Bo is ready to start his work with a professional trainer/behaviorist and to enjoy some warm summer weather! His foster family is hopeful that he can finally learn to greet new people appropriately every time and show everyone the loving, goofy, sweet side that they see. It is not going to be an easy or quick journey but we are all hopeful that this training is going to help him be equipped to live his best life and enjoy all the wonderful people he will meet along the way. Training starts on June 26th! His foster family will keep us updated on his progress. Stay Tuned! Bo also says that he would love any new toys anyone would like to send his way as an incentive to work hard--he especially loved his squeaky pig that he recently unstuffed Update 5/12/2019* Bo wants you to know that he is still working his way towards finding a family to call his own! He is loving Spring and being able to enjoy the sun and smells. He still struggles with remaining calm when meeting new people and continues to work on that.  Barriers such as being in his kennel or gated cause him to bark, jump, and get anxious when he comes in contact with these new people.  Once he is able to be free to greet people without a barrier or leash, he has been fine...though this is always done with caution as he is a powerful pup. He truly is a loving, sweet, funny, smart, and polite pup to his foster fur-sisters and parents and to guests once he get used to them being around. He wants to be with his people but feels more comfortable sleeping in his own bed at night. And he loves to gallop throughout the house playing with any and all toys he sees; the squeakier the better:) He has done well with the resident pups and a visitor pup but is not attached to having them around; he really just tries to fit in. He hopes to be ready to start meeting potential families soon and encourages people to reach out about him if you are interested in hearing more about him. *Update 4/3/2019* Update on Bo from his foster family.   What a lover and pleaser this pup is. Bo just wants to be part of the family and hang around with people wherever they are. He loves to be outside and take in all the smells of spring, so a fenced in yard would be ideal to let him explore the world as much as he can. We are still working on meeting new people. He initially tends to make people a bit apprehensive with his bark and pulling but when allowed to come up to the visitors, he has done very well. It really seems like he just wants to be able to meet everyone; barking and being crazy is his way of making that known.  Thankfully, he inches he way into the petting zone of people without aggression and will allow the other pups to get some attention also. Training on this will be on going. He has done a great job with the two resident female pups but he really likes to have people’s attention, so having another dog is not a priority. He also loves to gallop around and play with his toys. It is hilarious when he is tossing them up in the air and across the room. He really is a great dog and will be a great companion to the right person or family that allows him to be as active of a participant in their lives as they should be in his. Greetings Boxer Lovers! My name is Bo. Some of you may recall seeing me last year; I am back in the loving hands of MNBR again. It is a bummer because it is not really my fault…well sort of not my fault:) I just really was not feeling the environment I was in; I could not relax, trust, and be myself. I am all settled in my foster home now. They have been taking all things slowly with me as they did not know what to expect with me and knew that any mistakes made could be costly for me. Thank goodness, they are top notch and saw something in my smile, and I could feel that this is the right place for me to figure all about what is good in the world. I do well with my foster fur-sisters (though it took a few weeks for them all to trust and see that I am one cool dude). I get it; they had to make sure all was safe. Now comes the phase that I am most scared and excited for…..meeting new people! I kind of act crazy with barking and lunging when new folks come around; pretty scary for most folks that cannot see my tail wagging behind me. I will get this down too, but it may take some time. I heard my foster Mom talking and she said that I am super smart, sweet, goofy, sensitive, and am better behaved than my foster fur-sisters. Ha-Ha ladies:) She also said that my next family will have to be on top of their boxer game too and have to know that loving me has to be a commitment they are willing and able to make forever! I promise I will make it worth that commitment! While he loves to eat the snow, and loves to plow through the snow banks, he is very ready for the warm weather so he can co on longer walks. Not a lot of updates today, he hasn't had potty accidents in months which is great! We have a puppy sitter that has been visiting so they can get used to each other so we can go somewhere for a day or two without having to worry about him and those visits are going very well. We also visited a trainer this Saturday who gave us some pointers to help with training and we will be working on those on a nightly basis *Update 1/14/2020* With the holidays and the cold winter weather our socialization training has slowed down. In the house we continue to work on stay, leave it, and ringing the bells to go outside. Chevy has a potty routine so it's not often he has to ask to go outside so he hasn't rang the bells to go out yet, but he has been doing great in the house, no accidents in over a month! For Christmas he received some pig toys that honk, those were a hit!  By far his favorite toy to date. I also found a squeaky ball that he has yet to chew apart, and he likes to pounce on it in the snow and try to dig it out which is super cute to watch *Update 11/29/2019* If you are looking for a cuddle bug this guy is it! He absolutely loves to be on your lap, and if you are sitting next to someone he will sprawl himself out over both of you to to ensure he gets all the love! Need to move or reposition him? Just move him wherever you want he doesn't mind! One of my favorite things about him is he loves to sleep on his back with his feet up in the air, it is absolutely adorable! Chevy has also become patient with food, he is to the point I don't have to say "Leave It" every time I set some food on my lap, and if we eat on the couch watching TV he lays down at my feet and waits patiently for a bite. Some more good news, we've met the trainer twice and she noticed a good change in how responsive he was to on leash commands! We are still working on socializing with people as well, it can be a bit scary for him at first since he is not used to meeting new people but treats are a quick way to make any stranger his friend! :) *Update 11/162019* Chevy is becoming quite the well-rounded house dog I knew he could become! He sits and waits for me to put his food down for meals, he is learning to "leave it" and not touch food if I am sitting by him with it or set it in front of him and won't touch it until I give him the ok. We haven't had a potty accident in the house in over a week now that we understand his bathroom needs and he is still learning to ring the bell to go outside. We allow him to roam the house with restrictions while we are at work and as long as food, dishes, or anything enticing is out of reach he mostly sleeps throughout the day until we get home. He absolutely LOVES car rides, if you leave your car door open you are guaranteed to find him in there waiting if he can sneak in. He loves playing with his toys, the squeakier the better and is getting really good at sitting and waiting for me to throw the toy when I take it from him. He's been doing good with people lately, he's still cautious of some new people but once he warms up he just wants to be pet by everyone. We also recently started to work with a trainer to get him more social with other dogs, the first session went great and we were able to walk him past the trainer's dog, and have her walk past him real close without him barking or lunging! It will take repetition for him to be calm and confident around other dogs but to see such a change in the one session shows he is capable and willing to do better! :) *Update 10/31/2019* Chevy is working hard to become the "Goodest of Boys". We had a few potty accidents last week but have been good again this week. We have recently learned how to "Give" and let go of toys when asked, however he gets quite excited about new toys and doesn't want to give them up so I use treats as a trade off so I can take the toy. We are working on bell training to go outside, he knows how to ring the bell, now we need to learn how to ring it to go potty outside. Chevy is learning to sit and wait for his food, I make him "stay" until I set it down, and we are working on "stay" as a general command as well and he is catching on! Chevy used to jump up often out of excitement or if you have food but now he sits more often than jumping as he has learned that sit will get him pets or the food that he wants, and only jumps on occasion now so it is still a work in progress but he has come a long way from when he first came to us! Chevy is still uncomfortable meeting dogs face to face, and has been uncomfortable with a few strangers so we are looking at utilizing a trainer to help him be more comfortable with strangers and other dogs. Overall he is a very happy and loving boy that will be happiest in a home of his own with no other dogs or cats, and older children that won't get knocked over easily if he gets a little rambunctious. He loves his toys, the squeakier the better, loves his walks, and when he isn't playing or walking he is happiest cuddled up on your lap or right next to you :) *Update 10/2/2019* Chevy has been progressing nicely the past few weeks and we have learned so much about him! He loves people, but can be cautious of new people and occasionally barks at people across the street since he is unsure of who they are. When walked over to them he is more than happy to be pet by them. At night he is a little more cautious since it is harder to know who it is and does bark and growl a little more often but with a little reassurance he mellows down. In the house he wants to just crawl in your lap and be loved on by you and give you kisses.   Chevy did come up from Missouri with another boxer, Molly, and he enjoyed her company but he is having troubles meeting new dogs face to face and does act aggressive towards them. He has met a dog in his crate and did not react to the dog, and has sniffed a couple small dogs that were being held with no issues. At this time I still feel he will be best as an only dog so he can absorb all of your love!    We have made trips to the pet store which he loves, mostly because there are lots of people, and even though he can have too much energy at home for kids he does love their attention at the store and stands nicely for their pets.    The resource guarding has decreased immensely, I can pet him while he's eating and he is nice about taking treats. if you give him a bone and you want to take it away I use another treat as a distraction as even the best of dogs can be defensive of their bones. Chevy has learned it is ok to let me take the toy as I will throw it for him, sometimes he will try to move away but he always drops the ball once my hand touches it and gets ready for me to throw it again. He is currently learning to "give" to make it easier to get the toy since it is a bit of a game currently.    Potty training is also progressing, when he first came to us he marked and went potty in the house and in his crate often. We do let him out of the crate over lunch but otherwise he has not gone potty in his crate during the day and he is getting better about going longer in between potty breaks when we are home. Chevy sleeps with us at night and is quite the cuddler and he has not had accidents over night which is great!   Did I mention he is roomba approved?!? He definitely didn't care for it at first but has come to learn it is nothing to be bothered by and leaves it alone. *Chevy came all the way from southern Missouri and is settling into his foster home.  He's a goofball and adores people.  He loves to be with his people.  He loves the car and exploring his neighborhood.  He is crate trained!  He will easily knock over kids, that is one reason why he was surrendered.   We are working on his resource guarding and he is a fencer jumper/climber.   He is also working on learning to be introduced to other dogs in a safe and proper manner, but he will thrive on not having to share his humans with any other pets!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

He wants to sit next to you on the couch with his head on your lap or cuddle up in bed with you if you'll let him. He loves going outside for walks and to frolic in the back yard. He is the perfect gentleman while being left out of his kennel while you're gone. He'll just find a cozy spot to relax while waiting for you to come home. He never has accidents in the house *Update 8/11/19* Hi all, I have been really enjoying the quiet and calm life at my foster's home.  I really love to just sit and watch TV on the couch or my bed, and get leisurely walkies.  I would do best in a calmer household with older kids who respect my space (but I may not respect theirs, I do love pets).  My fur foster sister is a hoot and I enjoy watching her frolic, and she knows to give me my much-needed rest after walkies.  I can handle a calmer or polite dog friend, but it's not needed, i can live the solo dog life with my humans!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
