Story
Say hello to Ziggy. And yes, he is swoony and absolutely adorable. This little sweetie is just six months old and weighs in at a mighty seven pounds. His favorite things (in no particular order) are playing, exploring, cuddling and treats. Ziggy get along great with other dogs in his general size range and could live with cats, though may need some guidance on good puppy manners. He is LIVELY and needs an active home with a fenced yard where someone is home more than not or that has an option to take a dog to work. No small kids please -- this guy needs to be the center of attention.DOGS:The first step of our adoption process for dogs is to fill out our "" interested party application"" form online at this link https://us02.sheltermanager.com/service?account=ac0662&method=online_form_html&formid=12CATS:For more information on our cats please send an email to cats@vipp.orgPlease note we are an all-volunteer organization and it may take us several days to respond. *** In response to COVID-19 and the Stay Home order, the VIPP Dog Program  has temporarily paused dog adoptions. During this time our volunteers will be reviewing dog applications and reaching out to prospective adopters so that we can hit the ground running once it is safe to restart adoption meet and greets. We are an all volunteer organization and strive to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours but response times may be delayed during this difficult time. We looki forward to connecting with you soon -- and please, stay safe. ***

Story
Hello Everyone, Almost three weeks ago now, we cancelled our March 28th transport due to the coronavirus. One thing working with animals has taught all of us to do is to look at the worst that could happen and walk it back to the decisions we make today. Moving 20-30 animals into new foster homes and asking our fosters to run to vet clinics or meet with applicants, knowing we do have fosters who fall in the high-risk group, we opted to keep all safe and PUP low stress. Unfortunately, as of today, we’ll also be pulling our available animals offline. This will allow our foster families and other volunteers to remain in their self-quarantine. Not to worry though, all of our animals are safe here with us and will continue to be loved and well-cared for until we can all breathe a little safer. We will be back in full force to pull as many animals out of our shelters as we can fit into every nook and cranny once this virus has lifted. Our hearts are with all of the animals and shelter staff. As our CA shelters also go on lockdown, we are hopeful owners will look at what is happening around us and see their animals as gifts during this time rather than burdens. Their lives will depend on good owners making good decisions more now than in the 14 years we’ve been operating. Until our next shelter pull, we will keep you updated on Koda’s FHO surgery and recovery along with Buttercup’s adorable puppies and anything else PUP. If you have adopted a dog or cat… or both from PUP please send an update. If anything can put smiles on our PUP peep’s faces, it’s happy tails! May you all remain healthy and find peace during this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We thank you for your continued support. Laura and Everyone at PUP!   Laura Tonkin, Founder and Director PUP Dog Rescue PO Box 1691 Issaquah, WA 98027 www.pupdogrescue.org

Story
Mabel is a coutesy posting. She is best in a home with one other dog or as an only dog. She does the paw licking often, including when I'm around, so I don't know whether I'd call it separation anxiety. Though, I would say she probably does have that kind of anxiety, too. (?)  I think she's also just bored. I have a fairy busy, some might say chaotic, life... and with my change in living situation I just don't see it working out. A home body would be ideal either works from home or retired. Foster needed.

Story
All dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They are also microchipped, fully vaccinated and treated for parasites. Adoption fees vary from 50$ to 350$. Application and home check required prior to adoption.Charlie is a super sweet soft boy who is an old man in a young body. He has seen some things. He loves people but needs to be given a little bit of space until he trusts you. He is not fond of small children as they make him nervous if they approach too fast. He is house broken (Will need reminders and supervision at first in any new environment) and kennel trained and leash trained. He has so very much to offer but would prefer a quietter home. He is just the perfect companion for the right people. Adoption fee $200
