Story
Animal Profile: Erik is an adorable chihuahua/min pin/dachshund mix (best guess!) who was just rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is estimated to be around 1 year old and is very playful, spunky and affectionate. He will benefit from having another active dog in his forever home, but he will chase cats. More info to come once he gets settled in!  Seattle Foster Update: Erik is an absolute love! He is spunky, energetic, fun, and loving. He gets along great with both dogs in his foster home (one senior large breed and one adult small breed). He is respectful with both dogs, but prefers having a playmate closer to his energy level. He has also done great around larger playful dogs! Erik would like another canine companion in his forever home so he can continue to show off his zoomies. When he is worn out from playing he loves to find a cozy spot on the couch (or your lap!) and will quickly be your best snuggle buddy. Erik walks well on leash and is potty trained.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History:  About Foster to Adopt Program:  Fosters provide a safe landing spot for dogs transitioning from the shelter environment and help prepare the dogs for adoption. You provide the love and structure, and we take care of everything else! We cover all vet care, and drive the adoption process. Average length of foster is 2-3 weeks. Fosters do get first consideration for adoption, if desired.  Apply to foster online at www.doggoneseattle.org/foster-application

Story
Animal Profile: Bei Bei is an adorable 22 lb senior male dachshund mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA, along with his buddy Lucky, after their family had to move and could no longer keep them. Bei Bei is social and friendly guy who joined us in Seattle on 3/15. More to come as he settles in and we get to know more about him. Seattle Foster Update: Bei Bei is a loving chunky chunk. He lets you know when he needs to go outside to potty, and he's great on leash and with other dogs.  He is not really interested in playing with other dogs but is friendly with them. He has been friendly and more interested in any people and especially children we meet on his walks.  He's an easygoing guy who loves to lie around and sleep (he's got a very loud snore!) and wants everyone to give him attention and love. We're working on helping him lose some weight, which will help with what may be arthritis. He has some trouble walking on bare floors, so he's best with carpeting.  Bei Bei is a slow walker, but he loves to go on short slow walks and is getting excited to go outside, but is also happy when he gets back home to his bed to sleep. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $425, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in California and will be available for adoption in Seattle, once evaluated in a loving foster home in the greater Seattle area.

Story
Animal Profile: Miles is an adorable 2-year-old male dachshund/chihuahua mix who was just rescued from a high kill shelter in CA, along with his buddy Jack. Miles is described by our transporter as a friendly, mellow, easygoing little guy who loves having another dog around. Miles joined us in Seattle on 3/15. More info to come once he settles in! Seattle Foster Update: Miles is a total love bug and has warmed up instantly to every human member of the family. He does well going potty outside and we're working on crate training (he's doing pretty well, and is a quick learner). Miles goes from zero to one hundred instantly, spinning in circles, running around, bouncing off humans and objects, and then stopping to rest. Amazing! He also loves having mini tug-o-war sessions with his squeaky toys. He just loves squeakers! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $475, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test.

Story
We have had Kaci for 14 yrs, she is about to turn 15. Recently she has become Territorial with our other dog and has bitten him twice. We have twin five-year-old kids and I’m getting concerned she could bite their face as she growls when they get near and they don’t understand boundaries. Kaci also marks her bed frequently and would do well with a space of her own. She would do well in a home with no little children and likely no other pets. She is physically very strong and active but she does have vision problems. She is super cute and loving to her owners. Thanks!

Story
***MEET AND GREET SCHEDULED*** Animal Profile: Eddie is a handsome bassett pitty mix that is estimated to be about 3 years old. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA that was closing due to COVID-19. When he was one of two dogs left, we knew we had to get him out! He was temp tested off leash with the only other dog left, Dozer -- they both did great -- so they both joined us in Seattle on 3/22. We will post more information about Eddie as we get to know him. Seattle Foster Update: Eddie is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle, ask for belly rubs and be around people! He's great on a leash and loves exploring and patrolling the backyard. He's making huge strides in training and is a pretty fast learner, so we're excited to help him continue his training. With his beautiful eyes, cute stubby legs, and snuggly personality, Eddie easily steals your heart! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $475, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test.
