Story
My name is Capricorn and I am looking for my fur-ever home. I heard that I used to live with several dogs until my owner died. Luckily the volunteers at Almost Home Foundation saved me so I could have a second chance. I am currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two doggie sisters while I wait to be adopted. Here is what my foster parents know about me thus far:-- I am dog-friendly and housebroken. -- I am crate-trained but I spend most of my time in a playpen. Even when the playpen door is open, I still prefer to be in there rather than exploring the house. -- I do not know how I am with cats.-- I can be left home alone.-- I am very skittish so children would be too scary for me. Also, an overly busy home with lots of people coming-and-going would be overwhelming, too.-- So far I have not been very cuddly with people. I will occasionally let my foster parents pet me but mostly I run away from them. I do not like being picked up.-- I am up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, and heartworm negative. I have to gain a few pounds before I can be neutered. In terms of a forever home, I need someone with lots of love and patience to help me learn to trust. I am not a social butterfly that wants to meet everyone. Previous experience with scared/skittish dogs is a plus. Since I am skittish and do not walk on a leash, I will also need a secure fenced yard for potty-time. It doesn't need to be a big yard, just a secure one. Does this sound like you? Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If so, email dogs@almosthomefoundation.org to get in touch with my foster parents.Adoption fee is $320Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, my name is Darcy and I'm a very happy girl. My tail is always wagging, and I seem to smile at everyone. I love people. The best part of my day is when the humans wake up, I'm always at the bottom of the stairs waiting for them! I am 5 years old and have very good manners. I'm house broken, walk well on a leash, and am generally pretty relaxed. Although I do love to cuddle and take naps, I also love walks and chasing squirrels in the backyard. I have a very manageable energy level. Although I love people of all ages, I do not seem to like other dogs, so I would do best in a house without other dogs. Overall, my foster mom says that I am a perfect girl. Story
Puppy breath, soft fur, a round belly, big innocent eyes and lots of puppy kisses- this is what I have to offer. I just joined the Almost Home Foundation family and am now in a foster home waiting for my forever family. Puppies are a bit like babies...we are cute and adorable, but we require a lot of work and attention. We need help with socialization and housebreaking and should not be left alone for too long, as this could cause social and dysfunctional problems later on. Do you think you are the right person to take on the job? Then come meet me at the next adoption show or email AHF.Email: puppies@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Puppy breath, a round belly, soft fur and lots of puppy kisses is what I hope you love. I am in my foster home waiting for my forever family. I am great with kids and really love other dogs I am doing great with my crate training and potty training. I am learning how to ring the bells to let my foster mom know I need to go out. I am proud to say that I will sleep through the night without any problems. I am learning how to be a be a puppy. This is my first time being in a home and boy do I love it. I love being with my sister and my 3 furry foster siblings too. Needless to say, I get along great with all dogs. Having a bed to sleep in and toys to play with is great. I am really starting to get the hang of playing with toys, I have never had any before. I am very playful and running around the yard with my sister and all my furry foster siblings is so much fun. Cuddling with my humans, my sister and furry foster siblings when I am tuckered out is the best. I love to cuddle, so I hope you do too. Like all puppies, a home with love, patience, and time to spend with me is a Must! If you are looking for a sweet and loving puppy, to add some joy and excitement to your life, I think it's me!The adoption fee is $475 which includes deworming, microchipping, 3 sets of puppy shots, rabies and neuter when old enough. After his/her neuter, you will get a $55 refund.Email: puppies@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit c

Story
My AHF name is Fletcher, but I respond to Koda. I am a super sweet boy that loves to play with humans and other dogs of all sizes. I listen well and I am happy to learn new training cues to show off all my talents. I am house and crate trained and will do well in a fur-ever home with other playmates, toys and activities to keep me engaged. Looking for a snuggle bug - you got it! And a good belly rub to go along with the snuggle will win me over.Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***
