Story
Bane is a friendly, loving dog. He is an overloving dog who has never in his shortlife shown aggression toward humans or any other dog or cat. He is gentle and loving. He is good with kids but is still learning not to jump. He is still a puppy and loves to spend time outdoors and expend energy. He would be great in a fenced yard situation. He is also very smart. He picks things up quickly, and is eager to learn more. My family and I have fallen into an unfortunate situation, where we do not have the means to take care of him. He deserves the best, because he has the greatest potential for a perfect best friend, and that's what I'm searching for.

Story
I’m Kellen, but also am called Toby. I am around 2 years old and weigh around 60 pounds. The humans think I might be a mix of border collie and hound. My foster mom and sister say I’m a handsome boy, what do you think? I am very laid back and could totally be a couch potato but would really prefer to be a bit active. I get the zoomies a lot if I don’t get proper exercise, so a fenced in yard might be nice in my future home. My foster mom says I need a strong leader that can help train me a bit and help remember the human is the boss. I like to bark and act a little protective sometimes. I previously had a family but they decided a dog wasn’t meant for them, so GOTGM helped me and I went to a foster home that loves me like I am their very own boy, but they just can’t keep me forever, could you? My previous home had two little toddler aged girls and I was great with them. I never cared if they were by me or petting me as long as they were nice. I haven’t really been socialized around other dogs, but I’m pretty laid back and think I could be friendly with the right dog. I have met a calm female dog and did great with a little excitement, but no aggression. I still need to meet a boy dog like me and maybe a small dog too. I am super smart and know some basic commands like Sit, Stay, Shake, “Go” and Come. I am potty and crate trained and am a breeze to take care of. I love my humans and always want to be with them. I love laying RIGHT NEXT to them, almost on top, but I know my limits. I like to stand up on my back legs and get and give hugs. I am learning how to walk on a leash at this time as well. I haven’t found much pleasure in squeaky toys or tug toys, but I love chasing balls and a big KONG. I’m getting great at retrieving it back to the humans. I LOVE treats! I also LOVE stealing my moms oven mitts, so you might have to hide those from me initially... If you think I could fit into your life, I would love to meet you and see if we click! Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs that are 1 year and older. $350 for puppies under 1 year. Included in the adoption fee: All animals will be fully vetted, micro chipped and spayed or neutered. (Deposit of $50.00 required if they are not old enough to have the surgery) Renter’s will be required to submit a copy of their lease agreement to verify Landlord and also All Fosters and Adopters that have personal animals must be spayed / neutered. Age appropriate and healthy enough for surgery, we will verify that with the reference call to your Veterinarian. We are 100% volunteer operated and will process your application within a few days to a week depending on volunteer availability. We will be checking with your veterinarian and personal references, please let them know ahead of time. Applicants will be interviewed and require a home visit before being approved to adopt or foster a dog from GOTGM. Story
My husband and I purchased Zoi when she was just 12 weeks old from a breeder in Southern Indiana. She is a beautiful dog, as you can see from the image. Very loving, affectionate and extremely friendly. As a matter of fact when we met her she was playing with her other two siblings, but every now and then she would come over to us, seemingly as if she was acknowledging that we were there. On the drive back, she began to weep due to the separation. That was the first time that I'd ever seen anything other than a human express emotion. Since she's been here, we have learned alot about her, as she is now 3 years old. However, as time has gone on my husband has developed allergies to her being in our home, and each day it seems to become increasingly worse. We love Zoi, therefore, it is important to us to ensure that she will be going to a home where her new owners will not abuse her, are able to spend time with her, and reciprocate her love.

Story
Hiya, so they tell me I have cataracts so I don't see very well, but let me tell you I can HEAR everything! My ears are extra special just like me! I am a 10 year old mix of Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher. I absolutely LOVE to be carried around and will give you kisses all day long! I am learning to do good girl outside and not inside. I will go into a crate, but I sometimes do good girl in there as well. My dad had cancer so he was unable to care for me or my sister Pepper so these Guardians came in and carried me to a place of safety on their strong wings. While I may miss my dad I know he did the right thing and I also know that GOTGM will find me a perfect home for me!
