Story
cocker spaniel mix femaleMAGGIE MAE-sponsor only Maggie Mae is in need of sponsorship now!  This 3 year old girl was part of a cruelty case that another rescue was helping in. The other rescue was not able to help Maggie Mae overcome some of her handling and fear issues and asked our rescue to see what we could do. Maggie Mae has bonded with her foster  dad very very well and will let him do any handling he wants with her but now we are working on desensitizing her with everyone also in the world.  Maggie Mae is sweet as pie and deserves a chance to overcome her issues that are a direct result of her former life. Please consider sponsoring Maggie during her recovery time. Please email office@rainbowrescues.org to set up a one time donation or monthly help for Maggie May's care. Thank you.

Playing, running, chasing, being with my humans, playing, wagging my tail, playing, and going on lots of walks.Dislikes?Kitties (why do people have those fluffy things), sitting still, not playing, and not laying on top of my hooman! What's my perfect date?Anything fun that I get to do with my HOOMAN! Are you Todd's new best friend? Todd would really like a new home that is pit bull savvy and will give him the attention and exercise he craves. This big meatball needs a Hooman who will continue to work on his leash training and provide him with a job that will occupy his time... even if its just learning obedience commands. Story
Anndalina**** Anndalina is part of our TLC program. Our TLC club members receive special follow-up help when adopted into their new home including visits with a professional behaviorist. Speak to our volunteers about more information regarding our TLC members.****6 year old female, chi mix. black with white, no kids, okay with some dogs, basics of potty training.Anndalina came to us as an emergency surrender. This poor girl was trying to chew her tail off and needed emergency treatment. We rushed her into our vet and it was determined her tail would need to be amputated to prevent any infection from spreading. This poor nervous girl was whisked into surgery and brought back to one of our foster homes. Anndalina has had a rough beginning to her life and she will need a patient and understanding home to help her become the dog we know she can be. We would recommend she go to a child free home and a home where her Chihuahua bark will not be a problem. A nice quiet couple or single person would be the ideal place for her as she can become overwhelmed with too many visitors. Once she bonds to her people she is very affectionate but it will take a while for this nervous girl to settle into any new home and she will need to be given time to calm and adjust. Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. The first step in meeting one of our furry friends is to fill out an application on our website at <a href=''www.rainbowrescues.org''>www.rainbowrescues.org</a>. Cookie**** Cookie is part of our TLC program. Our TLC club members receive special follow-up help when adopted into their new home including visits with a professional behaviorist. Speak to our volunteers about more information regarding our TLC members.**** 8 year 10 month old male Chihuahua, not good with children or cats, good with dogs, basic potty trainedCookie is looking for a quiet home that will give him lots of time to warm up to them. Cookie is a very nervous boy who was pulled from a hoarding situation where he got very little socialization. He is currently fostered with dogs and has done very well with them. Needs to be kept on a schedule for continued house training. He does like to chase cats so he would not do well in a home with cats. Cookie cannot go to a home with children as they will overwhelm him and it would set him up for failure in his road to recovery. Cookie tends to take better to women than men but has started to come up to his foster mother's brother. Cookie will need a very patient home that will not push him and give him all the time he needs to become comfortable with them. Once he is comfortable he is a sweet boy who will look for some love and attention on his terms. He would love to be adopted with his brother Beau. Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. Story
DUKE9 year old American Staffordshire Terrier, good with dog. He is a sweet guy who was found by Animal Control and was never claimed by his owners. He came to us needing a lot of love and attention, which he is getting loads of now at his foster home. He would prefer a home where he is the only dog so he can lounge peacefully on his bed whenever he wants to.Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes.
