Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Hi!  My name is Max and I am one handsome devil.  Some folks say I'm a curmudgeon and can be cranky, but I'm really very sweet once you get to know me.  You see, when I was a pup, I was given to a boy as a gift.  As my boy got older, he lost interest in me and his parents decided to just 'throw me away' - because they wanted to go on vacation.   I can't say I had a great life, but it was the only life I knew.    Fortunately someone saved me and put me in rescue.  I was just so confused and so stressed out by all the changes, that I got a little snarley and a little bitey.  I was also in pain, which didn't help my disposition.  Once I settled in, I realized that I was much better off than before and turned into the sweet - and did I mention handsome? - lad that I am today.  I'm not going to lie,  I'm not great with change, so if I'm frightened, I might sneak in a growl or a nip.  (But that doesn't happen often.)   As a result, I would not be good with young children.  Older, respectful children are just fine though.  It does take me a little while to get settled and learn the house rules, but once I figure things out, I'm just the BEST dog.  I just need a little time and a little patience. I LOVE to snuggle or just hang out with my person and watch TV - oh and I love to sleep in bed right next to my person.  I'm fairly small, so don't worry, I will make room in YOUR bed for you.  I'm a pretty chatty guy, so I will let you know if I want to go out, or eat, or play, or if anyone gets near your house.  I know a few basic commands and I'm an especially good dancer.  I will spin around or dance on my hind legs for a treat! Yes, I do like those treats.  So, enough about me.  What about YOU?   Are you kind and patient?  Would you like a new best friend? Would you love to have a darling dog like me?  If so, we may be the perfect fit. I'm waiting patiently to meet you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Overall very loveable dog, would be best suited in a single home environment with no children, does excellent with other dogs and cats. Very playful almost-three-year-old dog, hate to rehome him but know he would be better off in a different environment with someone who has more time for him as well as the finances to take him to the vet as he does have some medical issues that (after numerous times at the vet) have not been resolved.

Story
Zues is a very good dog. We do have a newborn in the home now and where looking out for our baby's safety. Now he is hyper that's the only thing. Zues like to get excited just about over anything. He's well train to use the bathroom outside. He doesn't use the bathroom in the house. He loves being out doors and playing outside. He also loves car rides. Zues is also very protective over your home he's very alert about anything he hears.
