Story
Everyone, meet Beau (Beowulf). He is a 4yo German Shepherd/husky mix (best guess). I adopted him 11 months ago from GCAC. For the last 10 months I’ve been saying he needs a job. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to put into high level training or exercises/work. He pretty much follows me around looking for me to tell him what to do lol. I’m finally admitting that we are not the ideal home for him. We have three boys, ages 14y-19m, and Beau is excellent with them all. He’s been around dogs of all sizes and is very dog social and savvy. He’s neutered. He knows sit, stay, drop it, leave it, has strong recall (come), wait (to eat), down (but inconsistently performs), and walks well on a Halti. He is food motivated more than toy motivated. I adore this handsome boy and I am happy to keep him until his perfect home comes along.

Story
This is Rocky. We adopted him through the Pickens Animal Shelter at a Petco adoption event at the beginning of September. His photos do not do him justice, he’s beautiful with stripes like a tiger. Through the volunteers we learned that Rocky was from a seizure where he and about 8 other dogs were kept in a 10x10 outdoor pin for what they think was his whole life. He was cowering in the kennel when we saw him and we feel in love with his sweet temperament and how much our other dog liked him. Unfortunately, we do not have the experience to properly train Rocky. We have not been able to potty train him and he has severe social anxiety with new humans. We are hoping to find someone on here before we take him back to a shelter because unfortunately we do not have the knowledge or means to help a poor baby who was born and raised in those conditions. He is very sweet with our cat. He loved squeaky toys and chin scratched. Will provide kennel, bowls, leash, and collar.

Story
We adopted Maggie from Greenville Animal care. She has been a sweet and fiesty addition to our home. She is always on alert with our cats and has lunged at them at times, usually for play but she is larger and vocal so they are scared. She will get nervous and roll over on her back and snap at you when you try to get her to move or roll over. She will do this on leash sometimes or when she has gotten under a bed and we are trying to coax her out. She loves to play with toys and be petted and snuggled with. She will sit on command and wait until treat is put directly to her mouth before taking it gently. Overall she is a sweet dog at 7 years old. We are moving and unable to take her with us. She has bit one family friend on leg. It bruised but did not break skin. This was unprovoked but was friends first visit to house.

Story
**It is important to research the Great Pyrenees breed prior to considering Lizzie.*** Lizzie is not a working Livetock Guardian Dog Lizzie is a 6yr old Great Pyrenees who is well behaved and gentle. She's house trained, crate trained, and does well in the car, as well as at the groomer and vet. She does well with other dogs but would do best with a larger male in her forever home because she is a dominant female - other females would not work. She does not do well with goats, and is questionable with smaller non dog/non cat animals, so she won't be placed as an LGD as a result. She a has a very long, wooly (beautiful) coat and will require constant grooming. She was so matted when she came into rescue that she had to be clipped down. However, it is a stunning coat and she is quite lovely and elegant at full length. Lizzie does require a securely fenced in yard of 5-6ft, as she can get out of a shorter fence, and she'll need to always be on a leash due to the Great Pyrenees roaming trait and the inability to trust her off leash.  Visit our website to learn more about our adoption process at www.k95rescue.org  ##373413##

Story
Bosley and his brother Clyde were dumped in a rural area in SC. For months people tried to catch them. They finally have been able to trust people and they are in a foster home doing well. We would love to see them together but separating them to give them a chance to have a forever home is fine. He will require a fully fenced yard as do all the dogs from our rescue. He is fully vetted and on a monthly heart worm and flea preventive. Bosley is a happy young dog that will thieve in a new home.

Story
Clyde is the sibling of Bosley on here. Both are fully vetted and ready for their forever homes. He will require a fully fenced yard and need someone that understands his trust issues he is slowly overcoming over people. He plays well with his brother and will do well with a calmer, more submissive personality dog. He is great small/med sized dog.
