Story
Chive came into the shelter with his brother Bay and they are a bonded pair of senior male chihuahuas. They are very sweet and are just looking for a nice, calm retirement home, a soft bed to lay on every day, and a human to love them and give them pets. Even though they are on the elderly side, they still got some doggie zoomies in them when they get excited! They can be picky little eaters so they would benefit from someone to encourage them and keep them company while the snack throughout the day. Chive is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines.

Story
Indigo is our wild child! She is a beautiful puppy German Shepherd mix and has endless energy to burn off every day! Don't let her "scary bark" deter you from meeting her and seeing that she's all talk and really just wants a person to call her own and to love her for eternity because she definitely will return the favor. Indigo is doing amazing with her basic training but would definitely benefit from additional work on training. She's got so much puppy energy and excitement it's so hard for her to sit still for more than .01 seconds!! Indigo has some anxiety she is working through when left alone but with the right owner who is willing to put in the time and effort for her, I think she will just keep improving on that! Indigo also can be reactive when meeting new dogs or new people however, once she gets to know her doggie friends and new human friends she loves both dogs and humans! She would need slow and controlled introductions to any new people or animals just to help her build her confidence with new introductions. Once she knows you though, she's the biggest love bug and will give you all the kisses and cuddles! Indigo would do amazing with an owner who might be experienced with German Shepherds or has done their research on the breed. Indigo also is very athletic and needs a very active owner that will be able to provide her the high activity and exercise level that she requires in order to thrive. Indigo is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.

Kingsley is a big goober of a boy! He came into the shelter with his doggie pal, Lottie but they are not bonded and can find either a home together or separate. He is a big, stalky white pit bull mix with the goofiest personality! He's got the strength of the hulk so is looking for an owner that can handle his bulldozing abilities! Kingsley is such a happy go lucky guy with the biggest smile! He's the goodest boy but could definitely benefit from some structured training in his forever home. Kingsley is just looking for a cozy couch he can cuddle up on and a human to give him all the pets and head scratches! Kingsley is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines. His adoption fee is $175.

Story
Gordita is the sweetest little bulldozer of a dog! She is a gorgeous pit bull mix and she's got the muscle and strength to prove it! Gordita is a big lover and just wants all the attention from her person and once she settles down from all her initial excitement, she will cuddle up for her favorite belly rubs!! Gordita can be a bit dog reactive here at the shelter so she would do best in a home without other animals. She just likes to be the center of attention! Gordita loves destroying toys so he is only allowed to have the indestructible toys here at the shelter! She is also a big foodie and will devour any and all food and treats offered to her! (This makes training a breeze for her being so food motivated!) Gordita knows her basic commands but would definitely benefit from additional work on training! Gordita has lots of energy and would do great with an active owner that will take her on lots of walks and hikes and outdoor adventures! She would also do best with someone who can handle her strength and size! Gordita knows how to get the attention by giving you the biggest saddest puppy dog face ever! She's mastered the art of the puppy dog face and will absolutely melt your heart! Gordita is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.

Dako

American Pit Bull Terrier Mixed Breed (Medium)

Male, Adult
Pullman, WA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Dako may look like a dog from the Jurassic times (that's how he got his name, named after the Dakosaurus!) but don't let his silly looking face take away from his sweet personality! Our vets believe that when Dako was a puppy he had joint malformation which required splints. It seems that Dako never got those splints causing his joints to develop poorly which means he walks a little funny and might have some joint pain. This doesn't stop him from running around though! He is a pit bull mix and just as sweet as can be once he gets to know you! Dako can be shy with new people and takes a while to warm up and show off his happy, silly personality but it's well worth a little bit of patience to see! Dako came into the shelter extremely nervous but after some time and adjusting and learning that we are here to take care of him, he's warmed right up and LOVES getting attention and pets! He loves to cuddle up next to you and roll over for belly rubs! We are not sure how Dako does with other animals yet. But he's a big softie at heart! Dako is an older guy looking for a home that will give him the patience and time he needs to adjust to his new home and to bond with his new people. But we have no doubt, once he bonds to his people/person, he will love you forever and ever! Dako is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines. His adoption fee is $90.
