Story
Updated: 4/5/2020 Waylon is an fun and active guy who really enjoys playing! He is about 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. He has lots of energy and loves to wrestle, run and play with his like-minded foster brother, but he knows to be respectful of his older foster sister. And he pays no attention at all to the cat! He already knows several basic commands like sit, lie down, shake, off, he walks well on a leash, and he takes treats politely. He does need lots of room to play, and he would LOVE a big doggie friend that loves to rough and tumble as much as he does! Waylon can sometimes overwhelm calmer doggies with his LOVE for wrestling. But he’s a big boyo who means no harm and has a love for fun! He is a very smart and attentive guy and is very eager to learn new things! and where he can have a yard to run around in and someone who wants to exercise with him. Because he likes to jump and play around, we think Waylon should only be in a home with older kids. Adoption Fee: $450.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

Story
Updated: 4/2/2020 Family Name: Harebane House Hello my name is 7. I know that's a funny name, but when I arrived in Wisconsin from Georgia, I was coming from a hoarder case and we were numbered instead of named. The great thing is my new family will have the opportunity to name me. How great is that? I am a spunky chihuahua terrier mix. Weighing in at about 15# and a young 2 years old. I live in a foster home with 3 other doggies. They range in size from 85 lbs. to 130lbs. I love playing with the big dogs. I enjoy my zoomies and of course romping time with my pals (furry and human). I have a limp that developed before I got here. The doctor said it is fairly common in small breed dogs and may improve with exercise and time. My foster family has been working with me to improve the muscles and strength in my leg. We do short walking exercises, slow stretches and massage (I really enjoy that part). This encourages me to use my leg instead of hopping, because hopping is faster for me when I play and I LOVE to play and run (see my video). I'm hoping my forever family will continue to help me reach my full potential. I am working towards walking with a harness and I pull some, but I'm getting there. I have yet to meet a cat, but I think they would be okay. My favorite toys? Everything and everyones. I would say I love tug ropes and bones or other hard chew toys and another doggy to play with is best. I enjoy playing chase and keep away. I am still young, so keeping my mind and body active allows me to be a good dog. I am proud to say I am housetrained. However, I do need a bit more encouragement in rain or snow. I am fearful of a crate. Probably because of where I came from. I do well without the crate even if the fosters are at work. Just remember to give me some items to play with, chew on and a doggy friend (you catching the idea I like friends?). I will jump on the bed or couch and snuggle in if you let me. I always need to know where my people are at all times. I’m working hard on not jumping up. It's hard because I am so happy to see everyone. While I am working on this, make sure I am not underfoot. I love treats. Who doesn't? After all this, I have no problem dropping to the floor and waiting for a good belly rub. I enjoy my food, but prefer it out of someone else's bowl. I understand when to stop if the other doggy doesn't like that. So, playtime! Oh nevermind, we spoke about that topic. I have told you alot about myself and would love to get to know you. Let's meet and find out if I am the pup for you. Adoption Fee: $400.00  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. Herb Garden LitterI can go home with my Forever Family after April 9th! Updated: 3/26/2020 Litter Name: Herb Garden Litter Born: 2/20/2020 Nice to meet you, we are so happy to be here! Our pregnant mama came north from GA a few weeks ago, and we were born right here in WI. The GA shelter knew that our daddy was either a Great Pyrenees or a 100 lb Black Lab, and it's very clear that we are labby kids! Looks like we all take after daddy, he must be very handsome, since we are all such good looking pups (of course, mom is a beauty too). It looks like we will all be on the larger size when we get older as we are already big kids! Mama is a petite beagle mix, her picture is included in our profile. Right now at five weeks we are around 6 lbs and growing fast! All of us are very active and playful, we really love people. A family with patience to help us learn to be good family members would be wonderful. There is so much for us to learn, we need socialization, house training, basic commands, and of course, LOTS of love! If you love snuggles and a friend that will always be there for you, check us out.  Adoption Fee: $480.00  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time.
