Story

I adopted Nola from the Humane Society in 2012. She was just over a year at the time. She got along great with the two cats and my son at the time. She is extremely friendly and loves to be around people. She really enjoys being in the woods. Nola has some hearing and eyesight loss. This has caused her demeanor to change around young children. I have two toddlers in the house and they scare Nola when they come up behind her. As much as I don't want one of my children to get bit, it is not fair to Nola to be in scared in her own home. She is gentle around adults and is a great companion.

Bailey is a lover, cuddler and full of energy. Need a family who has time to spend with him and go for walks. He's aggressive around other large dogs but gets along with smaller ones. Recent life events prevented me from having the time for him and giving him better care. I'm relocating soon and can't take him with me. It breaks my heart but I need to think of his needs.

I got Kiki as a puppy from a friend. She is very mild mannered, loves toys, loves cookies and loves to snuggle. Unfortunately, I am moving and due to homeowners insurance reasons I am not able to have a pitbull. I am looking for someone who will give her a loving forever home. By no means does she fall into the typical stereotype people give pitbulls. She is very loving and would never hurt anyone. This is the hardest decision I have ever made . I just want to make sure she is loved and taken care of.

Story

Ash is a loving energetic boy that came from the humane society. Due to family things I had to move back home and am unable to keep him. Ash absolutely loves to play fetch and will do it for hours so he needs an owner that will meet his active lifestyle and be willing to play with him and get him the exercise he needs. He also loves to cuddle and loves attention. He knows all the basic commands, listens great off leash and is eager to learn and please his owner. I do ask that he be the only dog in the house due to a past history of slight aggression towards other big male dogs.

Hi! I'm Malcolm and I have this wonderful dream. In my dream, I have my very own home filled with love, comfort, and kindness. A gentle, patient human mom showers me with affection and tells me often that I'm a good boy and she loves me. My dream mom likes that I follow her from room to room; she thinks it's sweet that I always want to be near her. When it's time for potty business, she comes outside with me into the small fenced yard and patiently waits for me to finish up. She knows that being outside can frighten me, and she doesn't leave me alone. When we come back inside, she gives me a yummy treat and praises me. I am so happy and feel so loved! For me, this is all a dream because I never had any of those things growing up. Before I was rescued, I knew only the cold, damp, frightening outside pen where I was born and the fearsome human man who was unkind to us dogs in the pen. I never knew the warmth and comfort of blankets, dog beds, and gentle hands. Since I was rescued, I have learned that life can be so much better than I ever knew. Now I am ready to find my own forever home with my dream mom. I remain frightened of men and children, and I do need a fenced yard because being outside can be scary and a leash just raises my fear. That said, I am house-trained, crate trained, and I ride well in my car crate. I'm a healthy, sturdy 18 lbs., and at just 2 years old, I will have many, many years to spend adoring my mom and basking in her love. Won't you be my mom? Meet Amelia! Amelia is roughly 4 years old and last year she found herself as a stray in nearby town. She was unfortunately hit by a car and that accident caused the loss of her back leg. That didn't slow her down at all though - she popped back up after surgery and carried on with life! Like most of our dogs, Amelia is searching for an extra understanding home that gets that she carries some baggage. Amelia would do well in a family with other dogs, however she guards her resources so no young children for her! Amelia is more of an independent, happy go lucky pup! She enjoys sun bathing and snuggling up on the couch at night, or just doing her own thing in her bed at night - she also LOVES swimming! Let's chat more about this stunning beauty!
