Hi, my name is Douglas. Some people call me Duggy. I am very young and I love to have fun. I am friendly, energetic, enthusiastic and excited to be alive! Big words for a young one. I have this fun game that I love to play. The human in the house puts a bunch of clothes in stacks on the floor. I get an item out of the stack and run. She runs after me, yelling all kind of things but I keep running. Eventually I let her catch me and I go back to find another piece of clothing. Another fun game is finding a thing that humans have on their feet. If you grab it they will play tug of war with you. Fun Fun I like other dogs, but I really like my human. At the end of the day or even at nap time, I love cuddling with her and giving her love. I have been asked what I want and I say, “a house full of soft beds, humans who snuggle and yummy treats.” That is all a guy needs. Won’t you consider me as your new friend?

Meet Nellie! Nellie is a 6 year old, female Lab/Heeler mix that weighs 40 lbs and is currently available for adoption. She was originally found off Summer Lee in Rockwall and never reclaimed. Nellie is super sweet and walks on a leash well. She does prefers to be the only dog in the home since she is dominate with other dogs. She has not had any negative reaction to the cats in our cat meet and greet and we believe she would possibly be just fine with cats in the home. Her adoption fee is $125 which includes her spay, rabies vaccination, boosters to date, microchip and heartworm test. Nellie did test positive for heart worms but not to worry! Thanks to a local organization called Rockwall PAWS, the majority of heart worm treatment is covered for all our adopted HW positive dogs. He’ll put up with kids pulling on him and doing what kids do, but he is a rough player and very energetic so he might be a better fit for families with older kids. He can jump a 6ft fence pretty easily, so he needs to be supervised outside, although if he’s with another dog, he’ll generally just stay with them. He’s great with other dogs and loves to cuddle.
