It took me over a year but I was finally able to convince my father to surrender his dog to me while I searched for a more suitable home. I fought hard to get him out of the toxic home I grew up in. I was so worried about bringing Coal Buddy being at home with my 2 cats but not once did he show aggression towards them. He absolutely adores them! Regardless of him never seeing one before or them being complete brats to him. Coal Buddy had never had any training, nor have I ever fostered a dog, he was easily accepting of basic dog training(with the exception of leash training) in just a couple days. Within a couple of weeks, he was completely comfortable with any dog that crossed his path and was well mannered at my local dog park. Coal Buddy needs a home that is willing to give him the affection he needs with the space he deserves. It breaks my heart but I'm moving in 13 days and cannot take him with me..

Story

Forest is a sweet natured dog who is always excited to see you that we found on the side of the road in Arkansas. He is obsessed with water. Any time we turn on the sprinklers he chases the stream all over the yard. He's a big fan of fetch (although we have not mastered bringing it back). He enjoys playing with other animals just needs someone who can give him the attention he deserves.

Belle was born in January 2015 and we adopted her in December 2015 from Carrollton Animal Shelter. Her first owner had to give her up due to Belle having too much energy for their other "older" dog. She has been a good dog. She loves children. She does not do well on a leash so she would need some training there. She is a runner and is very fast. Sometimes I will open the gate in backyard and she will sprint down 5 houses and then come back. She is also a fairly quiet dog and only barks when someone comes to front door or she can hear rabbits on other side of fence. It is disappointing that we need to give her up but she deserves more in owners that will spend time with her.

Callie is a friendly, playful dog that plays well with children. She is protected, attentive and energetic. Able to learn quickly and attentive. She appears be a bit insecure as she can bark at other dogs when walking. The training we have provided has improved this issue. We adopted her this year and she is kennel trained.
