Story
Rescue Only: Amos is still fearful when you approach his kennel and backs himself into the corner. He will approach and allow leashing when you squat down to his level. He is walking better on leash and we are able to pet him and un-leash in the kennel. He could still benefit from more positive socialization and training. We are hoping that an adoption partner can take him into their program for further evaluation for proper placement.

Story
Hi my name is Valdez, but my foster family likes to call me Dez or Dezi, I don't care what you call me as long as you love me. My foster family says I'm a very good girl because I'm house broken, I walk well on the leash, I know how to sit and I eat all the food in my bowl! My favorite things to do are taking naps in the sun, getting belly rubs and looking out the window during car rides. I'm a quiet dog that likes to explore and would love to be the newest addition to your home.I am heartworm positive, ask about the foster-to-adopt program for heartworm treatment!

Story
~~Hi there. My name is Paco. I'm about 1 year old. They have me listed as a Labrador retriever mix. There is definitely a mix because I do not have the body of a retriever.  I look like a slender dainty American Bull Dog with the cutest muggy face.   When you visit me, I might seem unfriendly in the kennel.  You see, I’m overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the animal shelter.  My reaction to that is to bark and hide.  But if you can spend a few minutes with me in a quiet area, you will find a sweet, gentle, calm boy.  I know some commands.  I’m good with other dogs. So if you room in your heart and home for a sweet, loving boy, who needs someone to share this big scary world, come on over and visit.

Story
Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes.  Scroll thru description for preferred contact info!!  Additionally for CATS you  may email latkinson@eulesstx.gov  and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Saint is proof that cute little puppies can grow up to be big dogs.  Saint started his life as a GAP puppy in late winter of 2019.  He was adopted and lived in a home for about a year then surrendered back to GAP.  Saint is a big boy at 80 pounds.  We think maybe a lab/mastiff mix.  He is as sweet as they come but still has a lot of puppy traits.  The bigger the dog the longer it takes to get out of the puppy stage. Saint loves to play with other dogs but sometimes does not realize how big he is.  He gets along great with my 11 pound foster dogs but sometimes can be a little rough in his play.  I think he would do best in a home with another dog.  Small children probably not a good idea just because Saint does not understand his size.  He is well behaved and does not jump on you.  Saint is the best leash walker.  Walks right at your hip.  No pulling at all.  If he does get ahead of you just a slight pull on the leash will get him back to your side.  Because he is still a puppy he will need to be in a crate when you are not at home.  He does chew sometimes, so keep your TV remotes and shoes picked up.  Saint thinks the best time to start the day is early, so if you are an early riser this is a good dog for you.  When he went to the vet and an adoption event he did not respond at all to the cats.  We always do suggest introducing dogs/cats with caution and allow time to get to know each other.  Saint does not understand stairs.  We have a 2 story home, and he will not go up the stairs.  If you think this big boy will be a good addition to your home contact foster mom at mssquared@hotmail.com
