Story
Venus is a wonderful pup who loves to be active and involved with her family, enjoys walks or easy jogs, enjoys the car ride to drop off and pickup kiddo at school and the accompanying head scritches from teachers.  Venus has basic training and is VERY smart and eager to please.  She is the perfect size at ~40 lbs. and gets along with all humans and the dogs in her foster home.   At about 9 years old, Venus doesn't act at all like a senior; she's always watching for what's next and ready to jump up and go.  She appreciates routine, and her favorite part of the day is her walk.  Venus will remind you if you break from routine.  She would like a family that will be committed to her daily walk - as she loves it and it helps her arthritis.  She takes a Cosequin supplement that helps; Venus runs and jumps and dances like a young dog when it's time for a walk or mealtime.   We really don't know her breed mix, but best guess is black lab and maybe Australian shepherd.  She's a Heinz 57 and perfect in every way!   Venus is up to date on vaccines, HW negative and current on prevention, spayed, house and crate trained, and would easily fit in with just about any family.  She quickly earned roam-free privileges in her foster home.  Venus does well with the resident kitty.  She pulls some on leash, so needs chest harness.   Apply here to meet her: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Story
Hi, I'm Kayla! I'm about 35 pounds, a small lab mix and my date of birth is approximately 3/21/08. My ideal furever home would be one that's nice and without a lot of activity, where I am the only furry kid. I am a bit timid when outside my comfort zone. I need someone that will give me direction and socialization to increase my confidence. I tolerate other dogs but can get nippy with them when overwhelmed. I have good house manners and am crate trained. I have a lot of potential and need to find just the right person to love. I've been waiting for you!Kayla is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, spayed and on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. The first step in our adoption process for this pretty girl is to submit your application which is available online at hillcrestanimalrescue.org. Once you are there, click on ADOPT and scroll down to our Application.

He is being put up for adoption again, because he is very selective of his dog friends.  Chunka would do best in a home as the only dog.    He does have food aggression when with other dogs, but takes treats gently from people. He loves people and is a big cuddler.  Chunka can be around children 7 and up and absolutely loves to play fetch with them in the yard.  Chuka is neutered, UTD on shots, house trained and fully crate trained. Chunka has lab hair with some fluffy in the ears and tail.  He truly is a cute boy! If you are looking for a dog to bond with you and want to be by your side and maybe cuddle on the couch for a movie, Chunka is the dog for you!  If this sounds like your family please fill out an app on line. A good home is needed for a loving pair of Vizsla/German Shorthair Pointers. Junebug and Jasper are around 4&1/2 years old and are brother and sister. Junebug is fixed, Jasper is not neutered but I’m willing to financially support that decision if it’s needed. They are outdoor pups and require lots of room to romp and run. These two are amazing with young children and other dogs of all sizes.
