Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on March 27, 2020. Why this pet is the one for you:Julio is a 2 year old Husky mix who's just looking for life's simple pleasures, and a new friend to enjoy them with. In his previous home he enjoyed meeting new human friends, but he has been very shy while in our care; therefore, his new family will need to give him the time and space he needs to warm up. Julio would do best in an adult-only home, as he can be very picky about the way he is handled and pet; because of this, a trainer will discuss how to help keep him happy and comfortable. Don't worry though--this guy will be sure to let you know when he's ready for pets and affection! Julio also had an ear infection that was treated while in our care, so his ears will need a little extra TLC to keep them in tip-top shape. So if you're ready to learn more about this guy and perhaps make him your own, call and ask about Julio! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 67.8 Age: 1yrs 10mths 3wks

Story
How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by a Good Samaritan on January 13, 2020. Why this pet is the one for you:Beautiful is an amazing girl that takes things at her own pace. An afternoon for her is sniffing around the yard and looking out the fence. She takes time to warm up, but once you're in, you are in! Beautiful has been known to guard her own things and really prefers to be the only dog in the home. She will need to meet everyone in the household prior to adoption. Behavior and Training want to set Beautiful up for success so they are offering two free post-adoption training sessions for her. Does she sound like a match? Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 89.2 Age: 5yrs 3mths 4wks

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on April 4, 2020. Why this pet is the one for you:Maggie is an adorable Labrador/Great Dane mix that is looking for a family that has experience with puppies. Puppies can be quite a handful due to their energy, lack of manners, and need for training and adopting one is a big commitment. Maggie has been an only child her entire life, but did okay when seeing children, cats, and other dogs while out on walks. In her previous home, Maggie did not do so well with potty-training and would benefit from an adult human that has experience with potty-training using positive reinforcement. If you're looking for a ball of energy and affection, ask about Maggie today! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Brindle Weight: 47 Age: 0yrs 9mths 3wks

Story
Ginger is petite and full of Boxer wiggles! She is doing great in her foster home on a regular schedule for feeding, pottying, walking, training and sleeping. She is so well behaved! She is content chilling on her dog bed, and she won't even jump on her foster mom's sofa or bed. She does not counter surf nor does she beg for human food when her foster mom is eating. Ginger was an outdoor dog in her previous home and has been learning the indoor dog life in her foster home. In a past foster home, she got on edge with other dogs at feeding time. Ginger came in about 10–15 pounds underweight and may have had to fight for her food in her past. She has been in a foster home for some needed healing, learning that food is not a scarce commodity that she has to fight for. Due to her issues surrounding food, children in her adoptive home should be over the age of 12. If interested in Ginger please complete our adoption application at our website here:  https://lastchanceatlife.org/adoptable-pets/dog-adoption-application/

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by his previous owner on March 15, 2020. Why this pet is the one for you:Titus is a 9 year old Pit mix that has a lot of love to give. In his previous home he was house trained and enjoyed car rides. He did okay with other dogs but is not a fan of cats. He does have degenerative joint disease so a family that knows about this condition and management of it would be ideal. Are you looking to give this senior your undivided attention?
