Story
Local adoptions only, within a 75 mile radius of Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Mystery solved! Rescued Jeffrey's breed was unknown, but now DNA testing reveals he is 62.5% American Staffordshire Terrier, 25% Chow Chow, and 12.5% Australian Cattle Dog! Jeff was rescued after being abandoned by his owners, which is actually good because there were no signs of responsible dog ownership. At least now that he is rescued, he has a second chance at a good home and happy life. Handsome Jeffrey's coat is white with taupe brown patches and specks. He weighs about 80 pounds and his estimated birth date is 2/2/13. Jeffrey has some arthritis and dysplasia in his right elbow and takes an anti-inflammatory/pain med. He recently had his teeth cleaned and a broken tooth extracted. Some of his teeth are worn down and chipped/broken, but this does not cause any problems and he has no problem eating! Jeff has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Jeff is a big ol' goofy and likable dog. He is friendly with people, including kids and loves to hang out with his family. He is good on short walks. He has never had a good home where he was allowed in the house and therefore needs a little help with potty training. He knows to sit for food and treats. He has lived with other dogs, but is not well socialized and does not have good manners when meeting new dogs; therefore, he'll need proper introductions when meeting new dogs. It is recommended his new owner be a calm, assertive leader who has experience and knowledge in handling this type of dog. He does best with small and submissive female dogs and is okay with household adult cats. He would do well in a home or ranch with acreage and plenty of room to romp and play since he does not like to be confined in small areas. He is afraid of fireworks and loud noises such as thunder. He is looking for a good home for the first time in his life where he will be part of a family who will give him the love and attention he deserves. $50 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of dog rescue and rehabilitation.Adoption contract required. We are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this dog for its lifetime (several more years). Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only; within 75 mile radius because we deliver animal to its new home to do a home/yard check. Please note: L.A. and Orange Counties are out of area. We prescreen potential adopters before setting up a meeting. $100 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of dog rescue and rehabilitation. Adoption contract required. We are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this dog for its lifetime (10+ years). If interested in this animal, please email us with a little info about you, your family, your other pets, your experience as a dog owner (which breed, etc.), where you live (which city, home or apt?), etc. And tell us what type of dog you are looking for--an inside dog, an outside dog or? Thank you. Our adoption process involves meeting the animal by appointment. We have the best interest of the animal in mind and our goal is to find a good, permanent home for each of our rescued animals. We have the right to decline an application if we feel it is not a good match/fit or suitable home. If you like the animal and we both feel it is a good match, an application and adoption contract is completed. A convenient day/time is arranged for us to deliver the animal to its new home to do a home/yard check (to make sure the home and yard is safe and secure). We will collect the adoption fee (cash only) when we deliver the animal to its new home. All our adoptions are on a trial basis because our goal is to have a successful adoption where the animal has a good permanent home and never ends up in a bad situation again. We ask that you give the animal a chance to adjust and settle in his new home and environment. Going to a new home with new people and a new environment is traumatic and stressful. It will take time for the animal to become comfortable around you and his/her new home. This should be a bonding period where you get to know the animal and connect with it, spend time with it and take things slow. He/she will need to get to know and trust you and learn the rules of the house and what is expected of him/her. This takes time, sometimes 2-3 weeks. During this time we will hold the adoption fee and if the adoption is not working out, we ask that you contact us and return the animal and we will refund your adoption fee.

Courtesy listing! Please contact Krystle at khrrs@outlook.com to inquire on Hank Hank is a sweet boy who is looking for his forever home! He is a 6 year old German Short Hair Pointer mix who weighs approx 60-65 lbs. He is a very loving dog who likes to play with toys and be goofy. Great on leash too! He loves his humans and will stay glued to your hip! Hank will be best in a home with adults and as the only dog but is pretty good with some female dogs. He is okay with cats. Hank has spent the last 6 months in a board and train facility but unfortunately his owner can no longer keep up with the fees and he would have had no choice but to go to a shelter which is why we decided to foster. He knows basic commands, is house trained, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. He is so sweet and has so much personality so we really want him to find the best home! He will make a great companion for someone who can provide him a loving home with no dogs as he does not get along with the dog in his current home. Please contact me with any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability or put you in contact with his owner! Thank you! 💜

Story
Due to new recently new careers and demanding schedules Cooper is just no longer able to get the attention he deserves here at home. He is a very happy boy who loves every person or pet he meets. We rescued Cooper and he instantly was a great dog. He is house trained, great with other dogs, great with cats, great with our 20month old son, over night crate trained (although it’s been awhile since he was in), not a runner while he loves playing outside in the yard, and loves walks. With our new schedules and having a young son we are just no longer able go give Coop our attention and he is lonely because of it. We hate to let him go to a new home, but it would be in his best interest. Only recommendation is that he is with somebody that spends most of there day at home. We think he has mild separation anxiety as he likes to get into some things if he is alone all day. Please don’t think I am telling you he is destructive! He deserves a loving home with plenty of room to roam.
