Story
Meet Ryder - part of a bonded pair, he will need an experienced dog person to get him realigned. His dad passed away so he and his mate Bella have been sitting waiting for the next thing to happen. He is strong on the leash but excited to be out and about. He and Bella have been backyard dogs. He has not been around cats The family is hoping to place them together but if that cannot be, Ryders best home is somewhere with a big yard to run around in. Ryder is 2 years old and we are getting more info about his personality and preferences which will be posted soon. *This is a courtesy posting.

Story
My name is Bullet and I was surrendered by my family to Southern CA Bulldog Rescue. I am a very good boy and am having a hard time in rescue because I miss having a family and a home to live in. I have been staying with the rescues trainer because I don’t like other animals, I will need to be the only spoiled child in the home. He has been working with me on this and doing a great job – in fact, he will be a lot of support to any foster or adoptive home that takes a chance on me! My ideal home would have an active person or family, I like to go on longer walks and I enjoy doing things that keep my mind busy such as chewing on a frozen Kong with peanut butter or eating my food out of puzzle feeders. I can do stairs easily and even hikes! My ideal home would be in an area that doesn’t have a lot of people walking their dogs around me and if the home has a yard it must be secured with tall fencing. I need a home that is patient and understands all that I have been through, it’s been hard to be away from my family so it takes me 2-3 weeks to adjust to a new environment. I would also do well in an apartment, just as long as I get enough walks and activity throughout the day. Inquire about me today! I would love to get a second chance at a brand new life! ------------------- There is an adoption fee for this dog. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.

Story
Hiya! I'm Penelope and I'm 6 years old. I was recently saved from the shelter and it's a good thing because I had a life threatening infection in my uterus. I had an emergency spay and am all better now. My legs are a little wonky so I'm looking for a home with no stairs and kids 12+. I'm good with other dogs. I'm an easy going hang around gal. Can I come home with you? ------------------ There is an adoption fee for this dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.

Story
This is Bond, he's just about 5 years old and is a very special boy! Bond came to us in January 2019, severely underweight and having digestive issues. In February, he was diagnosed with "terminal" intestinal cancer and given 6 months to live. But since then Bond has beaten the odds and then some! We started chemotherapy and put him on a home-cooked diet, and he has gained almost 20 lbs and is now at normal weight. He recently had another checkup and blood tests and is in good general health, although technically he still has cancer so we don't know how much time he has left - could be months or even years. He is now eating a diet of normal kibble, with a couple of meds and supplements, and gets his chemo drug (a pill) once every three weeks. His care is pretty straightforward and simple at this point. Behaviorally, Bond is also very "special." He is a true homebody and prefers to be at home with his "pack." He tends to be nervous in new or strange situations, and does not like to be on a leash (we're currently working on that with him). Bond's ideal home would be one with a large yard so he can exercise off-leash, no small children, and another dog or two to keep him entertained. There's so much more to Bond than meets the eye - if you would like to learn more please contact SCBR and we'll connect you with his foster home!

Story
Hi, my name is Hope and I'm 7 years old! I've had a rough past. I was found tied up and left to die. By the time I was found, the wire I was tied up with was embedded in my neck. But I was found just in the nick of time and brought to SCBR, where they fixed me all up! Now I'm living the good life in my foster home. But what I'd really like is a family of my own. I'm good with other dogs, but play pretty rough, so need a dog(s) that can handle my energy. I equally love my beauty rest when I'm not playing. I'm good with kids 12+. I can't wait to meet you! ------------------ There is an adoption fee for this dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.

Story
Hello! My name is Dotty and I'm 5 years old. Look into my eyes and you can see right to my soul. I'm the goodest girl deep down, but I've had a rough life. I'm good socially with other dogs but need to be the only dog in the home. Sometimes I get startled by loud noises and fast moving objects so a quiet home would be best and older kids 12+. I'm easy going and don't ask for much. I do have a condition called megacolon so I would do best if I had access to a yard to potty. This is a life time condition that is easily managed at home with diet, supplements and medication. I just want to be loved by a family. Is that you? ------------------ There is an adoption fee for this dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.
