Story
Hershey was adopted from the pound when she was 8 months old. She is the sweetest most love able dog you will ever know! But unfortunately, when I tried to adopt another dog, they didn’t get along very well and fought very badly. The dogs as well as me ended up getting a bit beat up. Ever since that incident, Hershey has been afraid/aggressive when she sees a dog. She was never like that before. About a month after, a small dog was passing by and barking at Hershey. Hershey then chased the dog and bit her in the tail. Because of these two terrible situations, our landlord is no longer letting us keep her. We love our sweet baby Hershey but can’t keep her anymore. She is still so sweet and well trained at home. Her only problem is she’s uncomfortable around most dogs.

Story
LOOKING FOR A SPONSOR... Hi there! My name is Teddy and I am a seven-year-old, 12-pound male bichon and I am in need of sponsorship. I am loving and affectionate but I am sometimes fearful and require lots of patience and love. I will do best with a single forever foster or adopter who would give me their undivided attention. I can be with another pup but I would rather be an 'only'. I have had some scary things happen to me so I'm not instantly trusting. It takes me a little more time to accept other people but I'm surrounded by love so I'm learning to trust. I have been here at BROC for quite some time so my Auntie Em knows me well and recognizes my fear as well as my calm curiosity. Because I require a very special adopter, I am in need of sponsorship to help cover the costs of annual checkups, and a dental cleaning every six months. I also have a healthy appetite and I require regular grooming so your sponsorship would mean the world to me while my foster continues to work with me so I can find my forever home.   I have had a thorough health examination, I'm microchipped, neutered, and have had a complete dental cleaning under anesthesia. If you would like to meet me or sponsor me, copy and paste the links below.  Sponsor Me: https://bichonrescueoc.org/sponsorship Adoption Application: https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-application

Story
LOOKING FOR A SPONSOR... Hello! My name is Petey and I am an 8-year-old, 12-pound male Bichon.  I am sweet, cute, lovable, and non-shedding! I have a wonderful foster family who loves me and takes really good care of me.  I have been a BROC babe for 2 years! They say I am a Special kinda guy and say they will care for me forever but they need help.   Mom says I’m an adorable, eager, energetic, funny and loyal little guy. I am all those good things but I do have one kind of unique way about me. You see I need to be the one to approach people, as opposed to having them come up to me or try to grab and hold me. That really upsets me.  As you can imagine, I’m so cute that people always want to hug me and pick me up!  But that makes me very nervous and scared and sometimes and I try to protect myself.  Of course, once I know and trust you, I make up for it with lots of kisses and cuddles. I am also very nervous in new situations, but if you give me a little while to take it all in, I can go back to being my adorable self.  My mom calls all these things behaviors and says that's what makes me Special.  I am a pretty healthy guy so I take no medications but I do have regular annual check-ups and a dental cleaning every six months.  I'm also a good eater and need to be groomed on a regular basis.  If you have room in your heart, won't you please consider sponsoring me so my mom can continue to care for me?  Sponsor Me: https://bichonrescueoc.org/sponsorship Adoption Application: https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-application

Story
Hello! My name is Roxy and I am a 12 year old, 9 pound female Bichon Frise mix.  I am sweet little "love bug".  I'm not a barker and love my long walks a couple time a day. I am a bit sight impaired, yet that does not stop me a bit from getting where I need and want to go. I love to eat and take long naps, so I would love to join you on the couch for an afternoon nap if you need a partner. Right now I don't have a foster family, if you think you would like to foster me first, then adopt me after you fall in love with me, that would be great too.  I have had a thorough health examination and I am microchipped, spayed, and will have a dental cleaning prior to adoption.   If you have room in your heart and home for me, please complete an adoption application.  If you would like to meet me please visit our website at www.bichonrescueoc.org and submit an application to start the adoption process!  All our pups are available as long as their listing is up. The adoption process moves very quickly and most families are approved within 48 hours.  The adoption procedure involves these steps:      1. Complete an online application.      2. Interview with one of our volunteers      3. Home Safety Evaluation      4. Meet and greet with the pet.       5. Adopt! Story
Hi folks,  Darling Ace here,  I'm about ten years old and weigh ten pounds. I tend to enjoy a low key predictable lifestyle. It's best to take baby steps when making changes in my life. I'm a very loyal fellow. I also might like another small "low key" friend to pal around with. I just live for one or two little squeaky toys. My favorite is a long neck brontosaurus. I'm not much of a jumper, but I have learned how to use puppy stairs. I love my walks and do great on a leash, my back end sometimes chooses its own direction, but that doesn't stop me. My foster family thinks it's kinda cute. I take several naps a day to keep my peppy alert personality going. I like to be within eye or earshot of a family member. My eyes, ears, and smeller work well. I've had no problem adapting to my family's schedule. Potty skills are good in my current foster home, I am an indoor dog. In a new home, it might take a day or two for me to know where and when to do my business, but I'm a quick learner.  Here I have access to the outdoors and a short/low ramp to walk out to the yard. Oh yes, I'm a boy, but I tend to squat to go potty. I'm a good TV buddy and like a gentle cuddle. Oh, did I mention, I'm looking for my forever home. Do I sound like "the one" for you? If so please complete an adoption application at bichonrescueoc.org.  I have had a thorough health examination, am microchipped and neutered, and will have a dental cleaning prior to adoption.
