Story
Cash is a very handsome, medium energy 2-year-old German Shepherd-mix that weighs about 60 pounds. Cash is an impressively well-trained dog by trainer K9 Coach OJ. He knows all his commands – Sit, Down, Come, Stay, Go to Bed, Stay at the Bed, Go with, Heel – and walks very well on leash. He has a high prey-drive and is very treat focused, which made his training easy, because he will do almost anything for a treat. He listens to verbal commands really well and obeys. Cash has been great with large-size dogs and very playful. He lives in a foster home with a few other dogs and does well; he also goes to daycare and does well with the dogs there. He will probably do well with small dogs once he accepts them as his pack, but a small dog that is unknown to him might be viewed as prey and chased. He is a dominant male, so a submissive dog will be best for him. He needs a firm – not rough – handler, as he won’t like to be forced to do things. This boy is very smart and figures out everything – like escape routes, opening doors, and finding a way to get out when you leave home. When he first meets new people, he is ok with them but doesn’t like a new person to be all over him. Since he is very treat focused, however, lots of treats and some nice walks will make you his best friend. He attaches to his person very quickly and will follow him/her everywhere. He will not do well if left alone for long hours – he will get bored and will look for things to do: he’s not exactly destructive, but he might chew little things here and there, which is why we think that another dog might keep his mind busy. In his foster home he sleeps alone all night in his room and does ok. Foster mom tried to crate him but he wasn’t a big fan of that and managed to open and get out of the crate. Foster mom will keep working on crate-training but if he can’t be crated she won’t continue (some dogs just don’t like crates). He seems to be housebroken and knows how to use a doogie door. Even though he is in a foster home with a few male dogs, he does not mark. Cash had been left at a shelter due to escaping from the yard of his previous home, so in his future home he will need a secure yard and fence. According to his previous owners he is friendly with kids, but while under our care he has never been around kids. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, is microchipped and dewormed; also, he has been given flea meds and will be groomed before adoption. Cash is one of those dogs that needs the right owner – someone familiar with the German Shepherd breed and who can set boundaries from day one.

Story
Rocky Sr. is a 9-year-old senior German Shepherd. This sweet boy is calm and craves attention and love. He is a dominant male and good with dogs of both small- and large-size.He lives in a foster home with a few other dogs and does well with them. He is housebroken and also knows how to use a doggie door. Rocky Sr. walks well on leash, doesn’t mind getting a bath, and is pretty good in the car. When we first saved Rocky Sr. he was extremely skinny, as he couldn’t open his mouth to eat, but after a few months of medical treatment he is doing well and has gained 20 pounds (he now weighs almost 80 pounds). Rocky Sr. is a sweet, loving, loyal dog looking for the wonderful forever home he deserves.

Story
Hi, my name is Daisy. I am 3 months old, Jindo mix girl and I weight about 5.5 kg. I am one of the six puppies rescued from an elder who was about to sell us to a local slaughter house in Pyeongtaek, Korea. This is very common in the countryside of Korea. Unfortunately, senior citizens that are having financial hardships breed my own kind so that they can purposely sell us to the local slaughter house for quick cash. Thankfully, we were intercepted by the rescuer aunties on our way to the local slaughter house. I have excellent temperament and gets along great with both people and furry friends. I prefer pet parents that will take me on long walks and hikes. I would like to find a home in a country where there’s animal protection law. I want my pet parents to take care of me forever. If you can reassure me, then I will be forever thankful and make sure to give you lots of love! Please take me home! Should you be interested in adopting me as your new family member, please fill out the adoption application on Joey & Bailey's site. You must be at least 25 years old to be considered as oversea adopter. For serious inquiries only. Please note, we monitor all pets after adoption. We prefer adopters that are active on any of the social media accounts. For more information, please email at adopt@joeyandbailey.org Please note: Majority of our recently rescued dogs are currently fostered in Seoul, Korea by our volunteers. Our adoption process may be more stricter than any other rescue organizations as these rescued dogs are traveling over 5500 miles to be with their new permanent family. Please fill out our adoption application on our site to be considered as potential adopters. We highly encourage you to read our FAQs page on our site. Thank you!

Story
Pretty itty bitty Holly is very well behaved and and quiet as a mouse. She ended up in the shelter at 10 years of age because her back knees are a little arthritic. She walks just fine. All she wants is a lap and some affection. She also loves to play with dogs, toys and sunbathe. You could take her anywhere. She’d be a great travel companion. She’s super cute and when her hair comes back she’ll be prettier than ever! She’s dreamy:)

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Paul. I am 4 years old and weigh 4 kg. I am a healthy Poodle mix boy waiting patiently to meet my forever pet parents. I once had a family who promised to love me forever. However, that quickly changed after my pet mom had a baby. I was no longer part of the family and was neglected. All the family’s attention was on this newborn and they felt I may be a problems for the him. My four years have gone down the drain after the newborn. These are the same people who loved me as their fur baby. I was diagnosed with heart worm and my pet mom was not aware of my health conditions. Regardless of my condition, she felt I was a burden for her and her newborn and decided to walk me into a high kill shelter personally. Knowing clearly, I will die in 10 days, it didn’t matter to her. This is the reason why aunties at Joey & Bailey are strict with their adoption process for the sake for me! Please check out their FAQs page to see if you qualify to become my potential family.
