Story
I adopted CHUY 9 years ago from West Valley Animal Shelter. He was estimated to be 1.5 years old so that would make him about 11 today. He has always been high energy and I have never been able to get him leashed trained or socialized very well. Like many Pitbulls, he is quite loving at home with my family and the family dogs. I learned over time that he has food (chicken, rice, many more) and outdoor allergies. I have to bathe him with medicated shampoo weekly to keep his skin from becoming dry and scabbed. We've always lived in houses with large yards. I've have had great family support when I had long work hours. I don't have this anymore. We recently moved to an apartment for financial reasons and the confined space, the loss of familial support and continuing long hours has made life difficult for us.

Story
My mom adopted Price about 3 years ago. He was found on the side of the road in Tennessee with a badly infected eye that had to be removed. Prince is a mix between some sort of retriever and (we think) a ridgeback. He is the sweetest dog imaginable, and often is timid. He has never shown any aggression towards people, children or other dogs (he does not like squirrels). Other than the eye, he has never had any health problems. My mother is approaching 70, and is finding it difficult to continue giving Prince a good home - he is still a young dog and loves running around, playing fetch, and doing other things that young dogs like to do. Our family is very fond of Prince, so we are not simply “giving him away.” Rather, we want to find a better home for him than we are able to provide. - We will pay for Prince’s food for the rest of his life - We will keep him until a new home is identified - We will take him back at any point should if you change your mind

Story
Izzy is 13 years old. She has arthritis and she is not a very active dog. She has a hard time walking too much which has resulted in her being over weight. She only barks when she’s hungry and when she is being ignored. She’s kind of anti-social and she is not house trained. She’s a very easy dog and my nephew likes her. I even think she may be hypoallergenic since she doesn’t shed. Unfortunately since I’m taking care of my nephew due to court order, the social worker is requesting for my nephew not to be around the dog or not to be in the same location as the dog. We are about to finish remodeling the living room and we need a new home before the 14th of November. Unfortunately if we cannot find a new home for her, we will have to send her to the local pound. There is no other choice. Hopefully through this someone can take her, even if it is temporary to find her a new home.

Story
We adopted Joy 6 years ago as our second dog. She is playful and cuddly. Loves to play fetch and sun herself on hot days. She knows a some commands, but can be pretty stubborn. She will eat almost anything including fresh cut veggies. She does not like other dogs and is aggressive towards them. She cannot live with other dogs. That is why we are now looking for a new home for her. She would be really successful at a home with a fenced in yard and people who have owned dogs before.
