Story
Jax is I believe 7 years old in human years. He has a chip but, he is not registered under my name nor do I know the name he is registered under. I got him from a friend of a friend back in 2015 who rescued him from an abuse owner. He does not have nipples, walks a little crooked, one ear doesn’t move much, also very sensitive. He is not house trained, I have tried multiple attempts but just doesn’t get the concept. He needs a loving home with people who can care for him. Jax needs a new home because I am moving out of state and cannot take him with me.

Timmy IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-05-2020).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Timmy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21698&name=TimmyTimmy is a sweet boy who is still a little scared of all of the changes in his life, but is starting to come out of his shell and gets along with other dogs. He&#39s definitely afraid of traffic and is going to need a home that&#39s willing to work with him. He&#39s got one of the most expressive faces and adores the people he interacts with on a daily basis. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

For more information and the adoption application for Locket, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21769&name=LocketAlthough we don&#39t know if Locket&#39s ever lived with cats, her fantastic foster set up a meet and greet with a friend&#39s cat and Locket was ok with him. The meeting went something like this:Locket: You&#39re not a dog! What are you? Cow?Cat: Dogs are so dumb.Locket: Octopus? Why are you so small? Why do you only have four arms?Cat: ::yawn::Locket: ::jumps back::Cat: I won&#39t even waste my time swatting you.Locket: Octopi are so cranky. This beauty was very young in February of 2017, as she kept growing after we rescued her from a high-kill shelter. Yep, 2017. Locket couldn&#39t be sweeter to the people around her, older kids included, but is very timid in new situations and new people and will need someone who is patient and can show her how to trust them. This cutie with the bobbed tail loves other dogs and is most comfortable when they&#39re there to show her the ropes. When she first went to her foster home, she was terrified of them. They put in the work and effort and she adores them now! Locket is good in the house, potty trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside. If you have a big heart and are willing to give a dog some time to trust, this young beauty will give you years of happiness. Story
Cole IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-05-2020).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Cole, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=17640&name=ColeEveryone who meets Cole is astonished that he hasn&#39t been adopted yet. He&#39s charming, soft barken, friendly with people, friendly with other dogs, easier than easy on a leash, good in the house, potty trained, crate trained, and very striking. He&#39s an adult dog who doesn&#39t require too much exercise, won&#39t eat your shoes, won&#39t tear down your drapes, won&#39t turn your sofa into a pile of toothpicks, and will be happy to lay by your feet as you feed your social media habit. So why do we still have him? He wants to protect you. He&#39ll protect everyone within the home from people he doesn&#39t think should be in the home. He&#39s not Cujo. His head won&#39t spin and explode at the tippy top while he foams at the mouth and barks like a lunatic. No, he&#39s classy about it. He just doesn&#39t understand why you&#39d allow these burglars into the house when it&#39s clear they want to harm you and steal his biscuits. This is an easy fix, though. You adopt him and start working his basic obedience. You create a relationship with him that includes structure and shows him leadership. He, without much effort, will form a relationship with you that&#39s healthy, as he sees you as the leader and starts to understand what&#39s expected of him. When you have people coming over, initially, you keep him on a leash or crate him. You set it up so that he can&#39t make a bad decision. He&#39s a dog and dogs have been known to make a bad decision or thirty. The more you work with him, the more you&#39ll see those issues disappear. Cole is incredibly smart and just needs someone to show him what&#39s expected of him in your home. 1, 2, 3, happy family! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. Sweet Pea IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-05-2020).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Sweet Pea, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21480&name=Sweet PeaSweet Pea is about 3 years old and a very special girl. Sweet Pea was born with a condition which causes her to have limited mental and physical capacities. She has hydrocephalus, which is &#39water on the brain&#39. In Sweet Pea&#39s case, most of the brain tissue has been replaced with fluid. While there is nothing that can be done to reverse her condition, she is stable and has a good quality of life. She is on anti-seizure medication as a precaution, but has not had a seizures in a long time. She has the enthusiasm of a puppy but the walk and gait of an older dog. She is easy to walk on a leash and happy to go out and about. She is able to learn things, it just takes her a little more time than normal dogs. She gets along with other dogs and even cats, as she wants to be friends with all animals! She lived in a home with older children for a short time and had not issues, but currently lives in a foster home with both small and large dogs and gets along with all of them. She has no problems going up and down stairs and navigates both inside and out without any issue. She also loves to play with toys and chases after balls. Sweet Pea needs the right home with someone who will accept her for who she is. She would also do best in a home with other dogs with whom she can play and who will also provide her with a good role model. Her adopters will also have to be careful with medications that are used, as some things are known to trigger seizures and these should be avoided. While we have no idea what her prognosis is nor how long she will live, Sweet Pea is a happy and healthy dog and is enjoying every moment given her. She is thriving in her foster home, but we would love to see her find a family who will love her forever, no matter how long that is. Could you be the family who will look past her limitations and see her gentle nature and loving soul? The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500.
