Story
"I think yesterday was the best day of my life. I had my very own photo shoot where I was photographed like some kind of movie star. I felt like a princess, a real live princess. A lot has changed for me in the past month. A rescue, called Take Me Home, has given me a new life. I did live with a family and another dog, but they up and moved, and left me tethered to a pole in the back yard. It was really horrible, I was alone for 33 days eating rocks and crackers that neighbors threw to me. But that is all behind me and I am excited to find my own forever family that will love me always and forever. I really love people, young, old, kids, teenagers, babies, you name it, I like them all. And other animals, well, I love them too, small, big, old, young! I am polite, well behaved, a good kisser, and my favorite spot is on the sofa next to any human! I love belly rubs, walks, going for rides in the car, and even going to work. I am bit on the small side, someone called me a “pocket pittie” and said I was a perfect ambassador for the breed, whatever that means. I hope it means that a wonderful family will choose me, a plain, black, pit-mix girl with funny short ears and make me their princess! Please take a moment to look past the scars of my past on my face and body, and look into my soft brown eyes and see my kind soul, my caring heart, my gentle nature and my desperate yearning for a family of my very own to love! I will be the best princess in the whole world, and I don’t even need a tiara! "

Luna is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Luna is not affiliated with Take Me Home. She is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. For more information on Luna or to meet Luna please email: melanieroffol@yahoo.com. Luna is an American Bulldog/ Pit Bull, 3 year old girl that's looking for a home for Christmas! She recently finished 6 weeks of obedience training(to beef up her "total package" status!) She's current on her shots, spayed and microchipped. She would be great in a home with a male dog or a low key relaxed dog that isn't too pushy. She rides well in the car and walks well on leash. She is a great dog that is gentle, very athletic, and a total love bug!!! To see more info and pics of her, please go to her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lunaneedsalanding?ref=ts&fref=ts

Jake is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Jake is not affiliated with Take Me Home. He is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. Jake's original rescuer is coordinating his re-homing, and you can contact him at jackleslie2004@yahoo.com. Meet Jake, an amazing six-year-old Dalmatian/Lab mix. Jake, his siblings and mom were rescued six years ago after being abandoned, and they were all adopted into great homes. Unfortunately, after giving Jake a great life, his dad can no longer keep him due to unforeseen life-changes; however, he is determined to find Jake the best new home possible. As a six-year-old, Jake no longer has those annoying puppy issues, but he still has a long long life ahead of him. It's a perfect age. Jake is neutered, chipped, and up-to-date on his shots. He's good on a leash (his dad uses a gentle-leader) and great in a car. Jake is good with other dogs (prefers other big dogs) and loves people. He LOVES the outdoors (hiking, etc.) but is equally content to snuggle on the couch. Jake would be a terrific companion for an active single person, couple or a family! Don't miss out on meeting this fantastic pup!

Story
Shanzee & Monte are two little doggies who’ve gotten each other through some really tough times. Their original person didn’t take care of them, so they were living in horrible, squalid conditions until the folks from Animal Services intervened. Seeing how much they depended on each other, they were kept together, two doggies against the world. Luckily, they weren’t at the shelter for very long. Voice For The Animals took them and placed them in a foster home where they learned all the proper doggie behavior they weren’t taught before. Monty will be happy to find a forever home alone or together with Shanzee

Mia is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Mia is not affiliated with Take Me Home. She is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. For more information on Mia or to If you can possibly help in any way, please contact Debbie Hancock at 714-993-9594 (no texts please) or email at johnandebhancock@aol.com. Please help Mia, a beautiful 3-4 year old Blue Nose Pitbull find her wonderful forever home!! Currently, this pup is in a foster home here in Orange County. She is a beautiful girl with a story to tell. She was found late at night alone in a park in Anaheim. It was apparent she had been there for a while, sitting in the same spot, patiently waiting for her people to pick her up. After a week of searching for her family, no one came forward for Mia. She is spayed, current on her shots, walks nicely on a leash, housebroken, loves car rides and is crate trained. She is great with people she knows and has been socializing with other dogs. Mia has been waiting much to long to find her forever home. For over 2 years she has been shuffled around from place-to-place without the freedom of just being a dog. She is a loving girl with a wonderful personality. Mia loves to play in the water, toss her toys around and most of all cuddle. She craves being part of a loving family and currently doesn't have anyone to keep up with her professional training. Her foster home does not have a yard for her to run around in, and Mia, like most dogs, does not fare well being kenneled for long periods of time. We are looking for a foster-to-permanent or foster home right away so we can ensure this sweet girl's safety and good health! Would you be able to assist with this? Please contact Deb Hancock at 714-993-9594. Your urgent response would be really appreciated.
