Story
At 4 yrs old and 80lbs Claus is mostly made of floof and fun! Claus loves people but can be a little overwhelmed with excitement so we recommend children over the age of 8 (this is not an absolute, just a recommendation). Claus LOVES to be active and run all over the yard. He's a big fan of water and hiking and loves going in the car. He is dog friendly and people friendly. Claus is kennel and house trained. He knows how to listen and has basic training. He is currently working on leash manners and other skills in his foster home. His adoption fee is $150 ##456232##

Story
Bear Bear is a lovely boy of almost 3 years old. Bear came from China in the spring of 2018 and spent 18 months at a shelter before we pulled him to help work on his social skills in Oct 2019. Bear is looking for a Foster to adopt situation because he is still struggling with us humans in his life. Bear has come a LONG way. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained (unless very stressed) will take food from your hands and is great about coming in and out of doors or gates as needed. He enjoys dog beds and crates very much. He is a BIG fan of mornings! His only real "flaw" is that he hates being touched. (To clarify, he is not a biter, but he is TERRIFIED of being touched. We have worked hard and he is improving, but it's still a process.) Bear is looking for a home that is a little quieter than his current foster home. He MUST have other dogs in his home and dog saavy cats that know to stay up and away should be fine due to his short legs!. We will not place him in a home with children as he has not reacted any differently to them and their excited nature will not help with his social skills.  Bear is vaccinated, neutered and ready to learn! Please email info@4pups.org. (If you should choose to adopt instead of just foster this sweet boy, his adoption fee is $150) ##606247##

Story
Polly is a sweet but feisty little girl of about 20lbs. She enjoys long walks around the neighborhood, hoarding ALL the toys, and "talking" at you about anything and everything. Polly doesn't love strangers right away, but it doesn't take much time before she is rolling over for belly rubs and waving her little arms for snacks.  Polly probably wouldn't do well in a busy home with too many children. She is fine with the other dogs, but prefers laid back friends that she can growl at about nothing and they don't care. She wants to steal your couch and your sandwhich all by herself and needs dog friends that will not argue with her, but will stand up for themselves.  She is spayed, vaccinated, chipped and recently groomed. Email info@4pups.org if you're intersted in this sweet girl.  ##608903##

Story
Bandit is a doodle of unknown origin, but our best guess is hunting breed based on his personality. Which means they mixed a hunting breed (poodle) with another hunting breed (pointer/spaniel/etc). Bandit is a GOOD dog with a HOST of issues. He is required to be an only dog and we prefer a home with children over 15.  Once you are in Bandit's life, he will do ANYTHING for you. He is VERY smart, very willing to learn and extremely intelligent. Bandit enjoys hunting all the bugs in your house, long hikes in the forest and wading into the pond. He's also independent, has prey drive typical of hunting breeds, and enjoys barking both when he's playing and when he's not. He is not cat safe and should be watched with all dogs but especially little fluffy ones.  While Bandit loves HIS people (especially women), he is terrified of strangers and this can result in making bad choices. Bandit is a bite risk in the wrong situation and is in need of a well educated, experienced owner. Bandit will need someone who understands his body language and can prevent issues. He does have some massive fear of men, and will absolutely take time to acclimate to having a man around. (I.e. someone who doesn't mind a dog barking at him for the first week or so.) If you think you are interested in meeting Bandit and learning more about him despite (because of?) these things, please send us an email to info@4pups.org. His adoption fee is $150 ##597378##

Story
Duke is 7 Years Old , I've Had him since he was 8 wks Old , He came from Sandusky, OH , He is Very Protective and a Great Protector for your Family , But on the Other Hand , He's a Big Teddy Bear and VERY LOVEABLE . I have to Move and Can not Take him with me - Due to his Size - He's 119 Lbs on his Last Vet Visit back a couple Months ago for his Updated Shots. Duke Has Ear Problems Off and On ( always Curable with Ear Drops ) - But this is Very Common for German Shepard advised by the Vet. I Raised with another Dog ( Sheltie - Female ) and Two Cats . Must have Fenced in Yard and Plenty of Yard to Run . Would Not Recommend with another Male Dog - Unless you are willing to Work with them until they are Use to each other ( Due to ALPHA Dog ) He has Been Around another Big Black Male Lab for the Last 4 Years - They have Issues every now and then - Due to the Aplha Male Dog thing ) He's a LADY's Man and Very Parcel to me ( Momma ) . It breaks my heart that I have to find a New Home.
