Story
Frank is a laid back 2 year old male whose favorite thing to do is cuddle. He is house and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. An ideal day for frank is laying around chewing on a bone and napping. He might snuggle up to his feline buddy also. He loves going to doggy daycare and plays great with all the dogs and staff there. Frank started becoming shy around people about a year ago and I noticed he was especially uneasy around children. I started using a soft muzzle whenever people were around as a precaution. Despite precautions taken we were caught off guard and frank bit a child in the face. My children are now afraid of him. My hope is that somebody can get him the proper training he needs and he can have a second chance at a good life.

Story
This is Tandem. I like to call him Tandem Blue because of the color of his coat- and he loves when he hears his name! Tandem is around 4/5 years old. I’ve had him for almost 3 years- give or take. I rescued Tandem from a young family, with an infant and barely any time for Tandem. The family insists that Tandem was socialized but it doesn’t seem as if he was. Tandem lived in a cage in a basement for the first 2 years of his life. Fast forward to 3 years later, he’s still an amazing dog- but so misunderstood. Personally, I don’t have the time or money to continue caring for him. And I would say he does need obedience/behavioral classes. Tandem has never bit anyone, nor made me ever feel unsafe in my own home. Tandem just gets nervous around new/unknown people. The environment Tandem is in right now is OK. He’s a pretty big boy and needs more room to run and play. We also have a cat that he insists on bothering but plays so well with other dogs.

Story
Murphy is a very protective dog. He has a very skittish and hyper personality. He will go after someone who attempts to get in the way between him and his owner. He is a very loving dog within the house. He barks at the window when he sees another dog outside. He is not a good dog to run errands with because he barks at dogs he sees outside. I would recommend that he goes to someone without young kids or young grandkids who visit often. We have been told that training could be helpful but we need to regime him so we have chosen not to do that.

Story
Meet Dr. John, the self-proclaimed Next Big Thing, whose dreams soar higher than the Hollywood hills. This guy envisions himself as a movie star, or perhaps a superhero, basking in the limelight and using any chance he can get to show off his many talents. Dr. John is as smart as his name implies, and is looking for a role that can keep him engaged and challenge him. While he loves being the center of attention, Dr. John is happy to share the spotlight with his canine coworkers - as long as they can keep up with his charismatic energy! When he isn't working hard on his quest for fame, Dr. John enjoys going for walks, following every scent he can pick up on, and cuddling in the lap of his human friends. (Don't tell him he's not a lap dog - he's not buying it.). Dr. John is ready to steal the show and captivate the world with his pawsitively impressive charm. All he needs now is a home to help him get there - could it be with you? We are located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, Ohio 45458 and are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm - 7pm, and Sunday from 12pm - 6pm. To schedule an appointment, you can reach us during our open hours at 937-294-6505.
