Story
Our pets are physically located in NC until they are adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We can deliver to most north eastern states. Lexie is a 2 year old belgian Malinois mix. She was pulled from a local shelter where she was dumped nearly starved to death. She is predominantly Belgian Malinois. She does not like cats and she has a strong dominant personality with orher dogs. She would be be best in a home as an only dog. She 8s extremely smart. I have taught her a few commands. She loves to play fetch. She has a strong "ball drive". She would excel in a home with an active owner who likes to train! She needs a home with a fenced yard or acreage. She does not need a home where she will be cooped up all day. She is a working dog and she needs a job! She is great with people, however she needs to go to a home with no small children.  She will go to her new home spayed, heartworm tested and on prevention, current on vaccines and microchipped. She will receive a certificate of health by a vet prior to coming home. The adopter will get all her health records. We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on our main website at www.saveamuttkennel.info

Story
Our dogs are all fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to one of northeastern locations. Oakley was born 1-25-19. He was born to a purebred registered Belgian Malinois mom. The dad was a lab. Oakley has alot of the traits of both breeds. Oakley is very trainable and very attentive. He He knows a few commands. This pup is very friendly and affectionate to humans. He is ok with other dogs but he would be better paired with a large bred submissive female or maybe he could be the only dog!' He is crate trained and he loves riding in the car. He will go to the new home current on vaccines, deworming, and on heartworm prevention and neutered. He is microchipped and will receive a certificate of health prior to transport. The adopter will receive all the health records with adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply. Story
REGGIE(n/m, Chihuahua/FeistX-dob: 12/1/2017..weighs a healthy 13lbs) was rescued from the mean streets of Rutherford Co, NC...his testosterone had him running amok for about a year(that we know of). However, we are sure that he had been someone's inside pet until one day they let him out of the yard & from that time on, life for Reggie had been from in-season girl to the next, or so it appears. But, no more! Reggie has settled down considerably since being neutered. He's a little    snuggle-bum and LOVES to chase squirrels and be social with all passers-by(therefore, a secured fenced-in backyard is required). VERY friendly with humans.  He's great on-leash, gets along well with other dogs(tho, he's not particularly fond of big males and will growl at them), housebroken and crate-trained for nights. He's 100% healthy(comes with health certificate) and current on all vax and flea/tick and heart worm prevention. Would make the PERFECT companion for an active early retiree or work-from-home person(LOVES to go on walks around the neighborhood with his person). His only physical flaw is that he has bowed rear legs....may have had rickets as a young pup or just a birth defect. Either way, it certainly doesn't slow him down at all. He's all boy and ready to make his fur-ever person feel loved and appreciated. Adoption fee: $195(includes neuter, micro-chip, utd on Bordatella, Parvo/Distemper/Lepto, Rabies vaccines, parasite-free, current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention, Rabies and Health certificate, all medical paperwork from day #1 at Howlin4Spirit including vet's surgical notes, Martingale collar and matching 6' leash, 3lbs bag of current dry food(Tractor Supply Store's '4health'-salmon and potato, beef knee cap bone,  2 'pet alert' wallet cards, 'RESCUED DOGS ROCK' car magnet, chew toy, T ball and 'SUPER PUPPY' training booklet).  This pup is in and will remain in Rutherfordton, NC until it's new home can be approved. Transport fees are as follows: $125  to VA, MD, DE, NJ(as far N as Vince Lombardi svc plaza/NJTnpk, mm115).  $140 to Rye/Albany/Rochester/SyracuseNY, JohnstonRI, ManchesterNH & BurlingtonVT.   A completed application, 3 personal references and  your vet's reference is required for approval. To apply to adopt one of these pups please send us your completed application which is provided at: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/  to howlin4spirit@gmail.com ...PLEASE, BE SURE TO PROVIDE EMAIL ADDRESSES for all of your unrelated personal references,  so that we can properly process your application. MUST be EMAIL ADDRESSES, NOT tele#s.  Updated pix and videos are available upon request.

Story
Molly-dob: 03/13/2020-was rescued from a local Animal Control, after her hooman let her down by giving her up. Howlin4Spirit does not know why they gave her up, maybe financial, maybe they didn't have time for her-out of work or too many hrs on the job? Because she is a very sweet girl, is housebroken, walks well on-leash, gets along well with other dogs(young/old/male/female). At her current age & puppy energy level-we don't feel that she would be appropriate around cats nor toddlers(obedience training would be required) though, she didn't have an actual drive with our vet's office cats, mostly overt curiosity. She's smart and wants to please. Very friendly and happy. H4S thinks that Molly may have been crated while her people were at work as she's not a great fan of being in one(open-door crate is a OK place for her to 'hang', but it has to be her option or she will verbally protest by whining). So, we are seeking a 'work-from-home' or 'stay-at-home' situation for Molly's current needs. Although, we feel strongly that she will acclimate quickly, once she trusts that she is 'home' and that her person won't abandon her or leave her for long periods. With love and a gentle spirit, a trusting bond is right around the corner with Molly. She's a HAPPY and very healthy girl with typical puppy energy, so she would be an awesome running/jogging/hiking buddy for an avidly active person(s). OR, if there would be another 1>10yo to be able to hang and play with in a secured fenced-in backyard...as long as there's also a doggie bed lying around in the house when she's tuckered out. Adoption fee: $195(includes all medical paperwork from day#1 with Howlin4Spirit including all vet's surgical notes, spay, micro-chip, utd on Bordatella, Parvo/Distemper/Lepto and Rabies vax, current on heart worm & flea/tick prevention, plus Rabies and current health certificate, parasite-free, current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention, 3lbs of current dry food(Tractor Supply Store's '4health'-salmon & potato), new nylon Martingale collar & matching 6' leash, Nylabone or Kong chew toy, T ball, 'Rescued Dogs Rock' magnet, 2 'pet alert' wallet cards and 'SUPER PUPPY-The Best Puppy You'll Ever Have' training booklet)   This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until their fur-ever home is approved and they have recovered from her spay surgery. She will be ready to start her new life of love and adventures on SAT/March 28th. Transport fees are as follows: $125 to VA, MD, DE, NJ(as far N as Vince Lombardi svc plaza/NJTnpk, mm115). $140 to Jericho(LongIsland)/Rye/Albany/Rochester & SyracuseNY, JohnstonRI, ManchesterNH & BurlingtonVT.     A completed application, 3 personal references and your vet's reference is required for approval. To apply to adopt one of these pups please send us your completed application which is provided at: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/ to howlin4spirit@gmail.com. PLEASE, BE SURE TO PROVIDE EMAIL ADDRESSES for all of your unrelated personal references, so that we can properly process your application. MUST be EMAIL ADDRESSES, NOT tele#s. &, give your vet's office permission to release your pet's medical history to our rep.  Upon receipt, we will acknowledge your application with an email and begin processing it, immediately. We will be sending your personal references a short questionnaire and will call your vet's office within 1 business day. Story
Thank you, for caring enough to consider adopting a rescued pup in need of love, respect and a warm place to lay it's head fur-ever. This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until their adoptive person/family has been approved, and will then be ready for transport on the following Saturday(Saturday delivery ONLY). Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of this pup interacting with her H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding  of their personality and activity level, and how they interact with their people and other pups. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CESAR(dob:10/26/2009 + weighs 45lbs)  was originally rescued from Rutherford County, NC's high-kill Animal Control (on 12/28/2011)  by a long-time animal advocate + volunteer, whom recently passed away leaving 14 dogs behind. Howlin4Spirit stepped up and took in 3 of her precious ones. CEASAR was outside in a fenced-in area with  Snookie,  a very sweet overweight female RottieX, whom he had the pleasure of keeping company and helped protect Miss Pat(single senior) from anyone trying to come onto her property while walking to shop at Walmart. While Sophie is rather BIG and can be a bit scary-looking to strangers. Cesar is neither scary nor aggressive, in any way. So, they made a good team. He gets along well with Howlin4Spirit's friendly and spirited 45+ dogs running freely on 5+ fenced-in acres, daily. He is a DEVOTED COMPANION. NOT to be mistaken for a 'yard ornament' nor laundry room occupant! He LOVES to be with his person, eat, sleep and follow his person around while doing all outdoor chores, laundry, cooking, taking walks in the woods, etc. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but prefers being one of 1, 2 or 3, at most. He needs his person to take time to love on him, sit quietly with him in the woods on their morning walks and on the couch in the evenings. He will be by your side the entire way! EXTREMELY HAPPY disposition, DEVOTED to his person, and LOVES the outdoors!  He would do well in an apartment BUT ONLY if the adopter is committed to a 3Xday=1mi walking regime,  OR  in home with a secured fenced-in yard .  We will not be accepting any applications where there are children under the age of 10yo living in the home, unless they are respectful and experienced with Beagles. We are SEEKING to place Cesar, PREFERABLY, in a home with an active retiree OR work-from-home MAN OR WOMAN 45>65yo. CESAR is just 7+yo and deserves a devoted person who will be there for him, who is able to fill his life with love, respect and companionship, NOT just someone to come home to when the work day or when party is over. HE DESERVES MUCH MORE than the precarious situation he rescued from! Adoption fee: $95 i&#226&#128&#139ncludes neuter, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper-Lepto & Bordatella and 1 yr Rabies vaccination,  parasite- free, current on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, Martingale collar and 6' leash & current health certificate (issued within 3 days prior to transport).   Where there is a scent hound or guardian breed being considered for adoption, & in homes where older respectful children reside or will be visiting, a secured(not electric) fenced-in yard is required.  All potential adopters are required to be at least 25 yrs old and complete the application below, at your earliest convenience, to help secure the  pup of your choice.  PLEASE, state 1st choice and 2nd choice pups in case someone else's prior application has been approved before yours!   Upon receipt of your application, we will acknowledge your application in an email and immediately send out a questionnaire to your 3 personal references.  To help your chances of adopting the pup of your 1st choice, be sure to contact/ask all references to reply at their most earliest convenience. Also, give your vet's office permission to release your information to Howlin4Spirit. We will be contacting everyone within 2 business days.    Upon approval of this adoption, & to hold the dog/pup of your choice, we require the pup's adoption fee to be sent to our secure PayPal.com acct at: howlin4spirit@gmail.com Upon receipt of the adoption fee, we will send you the adoption contract and all pertinent information you will need to be ready for your pup's arrival, and reserve your pup's space on 'Save Them All' OR 'Happy Dogs' next available transport(SATURDAY delivery ONLY). Their transport fee is $125  to all points as far N as NYC and LI,  and $140 to all points N of NYC as far as Manchester, NH and Syracuse & Albany, NY, to be paid by the adopter to the transport svc who serves your area.
