Story
Introducing Rocky JuM Hit the theme music to Rocky the movie, because I expect that is what you will hummmm in your head every time I enter the living room. It is very muttivating. I am named Rocky because I look like an Italian stallion, but in reality, I am more chunky like Rocky Road icecream, plus I match Rocky Road icecream with my combo of chocolate with black sprinkles and dollups of white fur to signify the marshmellows. Is it just me or is it getting hungry up in here???? I have a Labby dabby dude personality and flappy dappy Labby ears, but obviously, I am a mix. I am 1 year old and 6 months too. I weigh about 60 pounds. But looks are not important, smarts are importanter and behavior is the importantest. You will never hear me randomly borking at phantom noises like some dogs. And you will never find me jumping up on people’s slacks or jeans. Nope. Not this good boy. If you wonder why I am so well behaved, it’s because I went to training to be a service dog for wounded warriors, but I didn’t pass all the tests to finish. That doesn’t mean I am a bad guy, it just means, you get the oppawturnity to use me as a family dog. Those requirements for being a service dog are purty strict and I didn’t cut the mustard, but at least I didn’t cut the cheese. Or maybe I did! I do know words like “sit”, but I can get a little excited so my sit can be a little bouncier than your average sit. I guess that make scents, as if you were in a car on a rocky road. I am great around all dogs and all people. The lady says I need to say I will do best in an active household with lots of attention and walks and activities. That my friends is a eufurmism for “this dog’s gots lots of energy”. I do, but I am also a good boy too once I exercise. Plus I am house house, leash and crate trained, a terrific shotgun car rider. I can’t wait to meet you and hang out and get treats for all my good boy moves GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Story
Introducing Maverick JC Dis is my gimme dem tacos face. I too like tacos. What??? That is too a taco. Pita bread counts as taco, I know a taco when I seed one. C’mon, gimme it. *Foster Mom gives him one niblet of chicken from her pita sandwich* See I knew it, this is chicken taco. I knew it. Tastes jus like chicken taco. *Meanwhile, the cats in the other room have a little discussion “goodness, dogs are such idiots, everyone knows a taco versus a pita bread, he probably thinks hotdogs are tacos too. But I still appurrrrve of this dog, he is a nice dog despite being completely unfurrrrmiliar with obvious diffurrrrence between food groups.* Foster Mommy calls me Maverick. I am 7 months old in March and around 30 lbs, so I might grow to 50 something pounds. At my Foster Home, I met some kitties and they like me, they like me so much. Foster Mommy gibs me toys, but I really prefer playing with my canine buds over solitaire with a toy. My favorite is playing outside in the yard with my furry siblings. Foster Mommy says you don’t have to know the difference between a taco and a chicken pita sammich to be a good boy. I know good boy stuff like be nice to dogs, be nice to cats, be nice to the rugs and don’t pee pee on dem, don’t pee pee on rugs, or dogs or cats for that matter. Foster Mommy also says I am a good mid energy doggie, not too wild. I am part Lab and maybe part Hound, I have a chocolate liver colored coat with ranch dressing stripes…yummy, I am yummy. I love food. I will do anything for a food. Most Labs are very food muttivated and I am not throwing the stereotype off. I also love doing walkies and making all the friends. Everybuddy is invited to be my friend. Be sure to bring the tacos when you come over. Basics: Maverick JC GDR-A-3734- male, 7 months (in March 2020), will likely be med/large maybe 50lb range, Lab/Coonhound mix, chocolate subtle brindle coat, good with dogs, good with cats, good with kids, food motivated, mid energy, friendly, playful, pretty good on leash/potty/crate training, goof ball, great all around dog GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our puppies are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested if not started on heartworm preventatives early, and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $500 for puppies under a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Story
Meet Raven My name is Raven, because I am shiney black like the bird, but I think they named me like this because I am “so raven” like the girl from “That’s So Raven”. You know the cute little one from the Cosby Show. You will be raven to all your buds about what a good good girl you adopted. The rest of my litter had celestial names like star and moon, but I was the only special one to get a bird name. I am special. I am 5- 6 months old in March. I am growing fast because I have some big jeans to fill. My Pop was a Great Pyrenees and my Mom was a black Labrador. So I turned out with hair that is better than a Lab, but not quite as big as a Great Pyrenees. Really the only thing I got from my Pop was one white spot that makes a diamond shape on my chest. So yes, you can tell people I inhaireted a diamond from my Pop. I have been hanging out with humans since I was a kid. I am your typical pup, I love to run around and find a chew toy and then drop it for a human to grab. The humans aren’t all about just play time though, they are trying to also teach me leash, potty and crate training, but I need more one on one time to ace that exam. I am the last of my litter, so I have been to the most events and had the most socialization with people and other dogs. This was great, because now I love everyone and your hard work of socializing me is almost done. I will ace that test easy peasy. Don’t you want to rave to your friends all about your new puppy! Me. Story
Meet Gardenia JuM Name: My name is Gardenia. I know there is a magnolia craze going on and some people are gaining quite a bit of money on, but gardenias are just as blossomy and beautiful. Gardenias are described as fussy and temperamental to grow, but not me, I am SWEEEEET! Age/Weight/Breed: I am 4 months old around the end of February. They labeled me the ever so pupular “Lab” mix. I have a sister named Lana and I am a bit daintier and more slender than her. At this point, they think I will grow to size mediyum. Yum. That is a fun word. Yum Yum yum. Myers Briggs Test: Puppies don’t take silly personality tests, but if I was a silly human and my boss made me take a silly test when I could just easily tell her, I am a ISFP, quiet, friendly, sensitive, smart and kind. I am an introvert at first, but you will find me much happy and witty once you get to know me. I enjoy living in the present and do not like conflict. I guess ISFP stands for I’m Such a Fun Puppy. History: I was found as a stray puppy. When I saw a lady that looked nice and probably knew about food, I ran straight up to her to ask for help. I mean I didn’t “ask” for help, puppies don’t actually talk, but she knew what I was asking for. Food. Love. Cuddles! And she gave me that and a bag of treats. Complaint: Sometimes I feel like Pippa Middleton. Like okay Kate, you married a dashing Prince, get over it. My sister Lana came to rescue camp first and now I feel like I am constantly living in her shadow. Skills: I will need the basic training of potty and crate training and leash training when you get me home. I mean, they are trying to show me here, but with so many dogs, I don’t get enough one on one time to offurcially call myself skilled in any way, except for eating and playing. I am a great eater and player. So do you want to take me home and teach me? Basics: Gardenia JuM- female, 5 months (at the end of March), Lab mix, will likely be medium, black/white, happy and sweet, smart, good with dogs, has a lovely sister, very dainty and slender with darling ears GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Story
Meet Pappito JGC My name is Pappito. I am an awesome dog. I am house trained and never do anything difficult or wrong. I have a very sweet sweet disposition and I am easy to walk on a leash. I would make an excellent service dog. I have always lived in a home, but my owner went to the nursing home, so my Foster Mom took me in. I am a neutered male 5 year old Lab mix. At my Foster Home I have a best friend named Rex and I would like to be adopted with Rex, so please check Rex JGC’s bio out too. Thank you!
